Tennessee wide receiver Cedric Tillman discusses having more to prove in 2022.

The Southeastern Conference media days are taking place at the College Football Hall of Fame and The Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Media days are taking place July 18-21 and SEC Network is televising the annual event ahead of the 2022 season.

Wide receiver Cedric Tillman represented Tennessee at media days Thursday.

Tillman discussed Tennessee’s team goals ahead of the 2022 season.

“We heard the noise a little bit, and we want to go out there and play hard,” Tillman said. “This year, we plan on winning more games and competing each week.”

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound redshirt senior wide receiver totaled 64 receptions, 1,081 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 2021.

Tillman discussed his decision in returning to Tennessee this season.

“There was still more to prove on the field,” he said. “There are some things that I need to work on. I’m really excited about the season. We have a lot of guys coming back, and I feel like we have some stuff to prove this year.”

Tennessee finished 7-6 in 2021, Josh Heupel’s first season as the Vols’ head coach.
