CBS used a new camera angle during Ravens-Giants game that was equal parts nauseating and awful

Who is this for? Stop it!!!

The NFL doesn’t have a perfect product on the field. Far from it. But, for the most part, it generally more than satisfies that football Sunday craving. That’s why it’s continually perplexing that someone with the league — or with their respective broadcasts — is absolutely obsessed with making it harder to watch.

During the Giants and Ravens (-5.5) matchup on Sunday afternoon, CBS decided to “experiment” a little bit during a Gary Brightwell kick return in the second quarter. And by experiment, I mean that the broadcast team used a horrific camera angle that rocked back and forth during the entirety of the play.

Once again, it makes me wonder: Who on Earth thought this was a good idea???

Oh, my goodness. I almost vomited out of nausea watching the replay! Why would I, or any other football fan, want to watch a play where the focus of the play moves out of the center and all around … for no discernible reason?

I’m begging you, NFL — and every station that broadcasts games — stop messing with what isn’t broken.
