CBS updates mock draft for Jayden Daniels, others ahead of national championship game

It should be an eventful Night 1 of the draft for former LSU stars.

There’s only one game left in the 2023 college football season before we turn our attention to the 2024 NFL draft, and there are several LSU players vying to be first-round picks.

[autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] is the one whose stock has risen the most. Since winning the Heisman, he is now seen as a likely top-five pick. In CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson’s mock draft, he goes to the Giants at No. 5. Meanwhile, Chris Trapasso sends him to the Patriots even higher at No. 3.

In addition to Daniels, both [autotag]Malik Nabers[/autotag] and [autotag]Brian Thomas Jr.[/autotag] are projected first round picks. Trapasso has Nabers in the top 10 to the Bears, while he falls to the hometown New Orleans Saints at No. 13 in Wilson’s mock.

Finally, Thomas goes to the Bills at No. 24 in Trapasso’s mock, but Wilson is higher on him and has him going in the top 15 to the Broncos at No. 14.

All three of those players should hear their names called on what should be an eventful Night 1 of the draft.
