CBS Sports NFL mock draft has five Alabama players in first round

CBS Sports’ NFL draft analyst Chris Trapasso has released his most recent mock draft for the 2020 NFL Draft. In this mock draft, Trapasso has a player named for all 32 picks in the first round, along with his reasons why he believes that player is …

11. Los Angeles Chargers – Tua Tagovailoa, QB

As some of the biggest named quarterbacks get older, their successors will soon emerge. Trapasso believes this is the case for Phillip Rivers and the Chargers. He cites Tagovailoa’s injury as a reason to sit out his first year in the NFL and let Rivers play out his final year with the franchise.

12. Tampa Buccaneers – Alex Leatherwood, OL

Trapasso mentions that this selection would assume Tampa Bay stays with James Winston as their quarterback. Personally, I’m not too sure how good Leatherwood is at preventing interceptions, but he would definitely offer some solid protection on the line for Winston (or whoever is under center in 2020).
