Bills quarterback Josh Allen is amongst the top quarterbacks in the NFL. But where exactly does he rank?

CBS Sports places Allen at the No. 4 overall spot in their rankings. Ahead of Allen are three quarterbacks that are some of the best to ever do it. But are they edging out Allen as of 2022?

In the third spot is Aaron Rodgers from the Packers, who is edged out by the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes in second.

The top overall spot belongs to the most curious: Bucs QB Tom Brady.

Undoubtedly one of the best to do, Brady enters next season at the age of 44. He’s still a great player, but there’s a case to be made that Allen, Rodgers and Mahomes all have just that little bit of extra punch in them that put them above Brady.

For what it’s worth, here’s how CBS Sports justified Allen’s fourth position:

If there’s one QB on the brink of superstardom, it’s Allen. In fact, he might be there already. Since entering as a big-bodied athlete with a scattershot arm, Allen has ascended to annual MVP candidate, pairing tight end size and tough running with a deep-ball cannon. As long as he’s wired to create the big play, he’ll be a potential turnover or injury risk. But his physical gifts, paired with proven Bills talent like favorite target Stefon Diggs, make him an easy candidate to make a title run.
