Dayton forward Obi Toppin will reportedly participate in a private, in-person workout with the Cleveland Cavaliers in New Jersey, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

Teams can visit 10 prospects face to face near their residences ahead of the NBA draft and are allowed four personnel members during each trip. Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman, assistant GM Mike Gansey and head coach J.B. Bickerstaff will take part in the visit with Toppin.

The Cavaliers, who hold the fifth overall pick, have been linked to several players, including James Wiseman, Deni Avdija and Isaac Okoro among others. The organization has also reportedly shown interest in LaMelo Ball but the 19-year-old is expected to be off of the board by No. 5.

Toppin was named the 2020 Associated Press Player of the Year after averaging 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and one steal in 31 games. He proved that he could score from virtually all over the floor, highlighted by his 39% shooting from 3-point range.

The 6-foot-9 product has been well-liked by most teams drafting early in the first round given his offensive ability and athleticism. The Minnesota Timberwolves are high on Toppin and have even reportedly considered trading down in order to take him.

The NBA draft is scheduled to take place on Nov. 18.
