LOOK: First look at the Vikings White Out helmet debuting in Week 15

Not only do the Vikings have a new uniform to play in, but they also have an NFC North division to win.

The Minnesota Vikings have had a season unlike anything that fans could have predicted. From ESPN projecting the top pick for the team to the injury to J.J. McCarthy, nothing seemed like we would have much to look forward to this season except a uniform change in Week 15.

Fast forward to the present, and Week 154 is upon us. Not only do the Vikings have a new uniform to play in, but they also have an NFC North division to win.

On Wednesday, Judd Zulgad of Skol North shared the first images we have seen of the new uniforms. While it was just a helmet, we got the idea that we are in for something special on Monday night against the Bears as Chicago looks to play spoiler to the Vikings’ dreams this season.

New York Giants will wear new alternate uniforms vs. Vikings in Week 1

The Minnesota Vikings debuted their alternate uniforms on Thursday, the same day the Giants announced when they will be using theirs.

The Minnesota Vikings debuted their alternate uniforms on Thursday, the same day the Giants announced when they will be debuting theirs — and it happens to be against the Vikings in the season opener.

The game is scheduled for Sept. 8 with a noon CT kickoff as the Vikings travel to the Meadowlands. The Giants will wear their “Century Red” uniforms, which commemorate the franchise’s 100th season.

The Giants’ uniform combo has received good and bad reviews. They belong as a costume prop for a George Clooney leather helmet football movie, but it will make for interesting viewing in Week 1.

The Vikings, meanwhile, will wear their “Winter Warrior” alternate uniforms on Dec. 16 against the Chicago Bears. The reaction to those was very positive, and they might be the best alternate combo in the NFL.

That same discussion is not happening for these Giants uniforms we will be subjected to.

The Minnesota Vikings have had their fair share of hits and misses with uniform combinations. This may be one of their best yet.

The Minnesota Vikings have had their fair share of hits and misses with uniform combinations over the years. Their latest may be remembered as one of their best, not only in appearance but also by name.

On Thursday, we got the first look at the Vikings’ new Winter Warrior uniforms. Players Justin Jefferson, Harrison Phillips, and Aaron Jones were just a few to show off the design.

The uniforms are composed of a white helmet, white jersey, and white pants. The jerseys and pants have silver and purple stripes down the side and around the sleeves. The face mask is silver.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports the uniform will be worn in the Vikings’ version of a “whiteout game,” similar to that of Penn State in the college ranks, on Dec. 16 when they face off against the division rival Chicago Bears. The game will be played on Monday night, allowing the unis to get national exposure.
