Kevin Costner shared he won’t be returning to Yellowstone for its final episodes

Kevin Costner will officially not be returning to Yellowstone for its final episodes.

After lots of back-and-forth, Kevin Costner shared on Thursday night he will not be returning for the final episodes of the hit drama Yellowstone.

After Paramount Network announced earlier on Thursday that the back half of season five would air this November, there was still lots of uncertainty for Costner’s status as returning as show lead John Dutton after various factors played into him not returning to the show’s production.

Well, Costner set the record straight on his Twitter (X) account later in the day and broke the sad news that he would not be returning to the series or any Yellowstone project in the future.

“I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue season five B or into the future,” Costner said in the announcement. “[The show] was something that really changed me. I loved it, and I know you loved it. And I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning.”

Costner has been hard at work on his Western epic film series Horizon: An American Saga, with the first installment due in theaters next week.

As he works on the third installment in the new franchise, his days at Dutton Ranch have come to a close.

With his character on the show alive by the halfway point of season five, the folks behind Yellowstone will now have to figure out how to give the character a proper farewell without Costner in tow.

Yellowstone finally has a release date for its last episodes, with or without Kevin Costner

We finally know when Yellowstone will return for its final episodes.

Don’t worry, Yellowstone fans. The hit drama will finally return for its final episodes this fall.

Paramount Network revealed on Thursday that the show will be back to finish out its fifth and final season on Nov. 10.

The show hasn’t been on air since January 2023, when a cliffhanger left the Dutton family’s power balance firmly in question.

Various issues have left show lead Kevin Costner’s status up in the air as to whether or not he’ll be appearing in the show’s final episodes.

While promoting his upcoming Horizon film series, the Oscar-winning actor and director affirmed recently that he’s open to returning to finish out John Dutton’s story, but he’s not currently slated to appear on the final stretch of the series.

“I’ve supported that thing and I’ve loved it,” Costner said, via Variety. “It’s been really important to me. I would love to go back under the right circumstances I think that all of us want. For me, it really needs to be the right circumstances.”

“Saying there’s a chance, there’s always a chance,” he continued. “I love the thing. You’ve got to be really clear about that.”

Whether or not Costner returns, the show is still slated to finish its run this fall.

The first look at Severance season 2 invites viewers back to Lumon with haunting welcome

We’ve finally got our first look at season 2 of Severance.

The hit Apple TV+ original series Severance will return for its second season before long, and we’ve got our first look at how things will shape up for the hard-working folks at Lumon Industries.

The new glimpse at the show’s second season is as mysterious as you’d expect, as we see Adam Scott’s Mark Scout changing outfits and running toward (or away from) something as Tramell Tillman’s Seth Milchick delivering a haunting “Welcome back; been a minute” to Scout and all the viewers at home.

We’re not quite sure what’s in store for Severance going ahead, but it sure looks mightily intriguing after more than two years of waiting after the first season’s conclusion.

Apple TV+ hasn’t unveiled a release date just yet, but we’d imagine it’ll either be out sometime this fall or this winter.

‘The Price is Right’ contestant wins rare double showcase with absurd guess within $1

What a day for game shows.

Pat Sajak’s final episode as the host of “Wheel of Fortune,” will air on Friday night, marking the end of a four-decade run since the show began in its current form in 1983.

And somehow, that may not be the wildest game show-related news from Friday.

During the showcase at the end of “The Price is Right,” Alberta native Patrice Masse did the unthinkable, winning a rare double showcase when his estimated price of the prize package was just $1 below the actual price of $39,501.

Contestants win both showcase prizes when their guess is within $250. Masse’s, meanwhile, was nearly perfect. Check out his reaction and that of host Drew Carey, who called it “the best showcase bid in the history of the show, in my opinion.”

(Warning: The following post includes NSFW language.)

I mean, seriously. What are the odds?

Masse earned himself quite a bounty with his spectacular guess as his prize package included a brand new Kia K5 GT-Line, luxury trips to Milan, Italy, Hawaii, and Miami, and designer apparel from Versace, Gucci and Coach.

Vanna White delivered a very sweet farewell to Pat Sajak ahead of his final Wheel of Fortune episode

Vanna White gave a very moving farewell message to Pat Sajak ahead of his final Wheel of Fortune show.

With longtime Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak stepping away from his hosting duties, his longtime screen partner Vanna White delivered a very poignant farewell to the game show legend.

Sajak and White have been together on Wheel of Fortune for more than four decades, as the two are synonymous for the long-running game show and the televised format at large.

On the show’s YouTube page, White gave her official farewell to Sajak, and you can imagine it’s a pretty powerful expression of gratitude after the two game show icons have been working alongside each other for so long.

It’s pretty moving to watch this when you think about their cumulative legacies on the show.

Sajak’s final Wheel of Fortune episode airs Friday, with White slated to be right by his side for his final broadcast. Longtime television personality Ryan Seacrest is slated to take over for Sajak after he leaves the program.

Netflix is finally making a Peaky Blinders movie with Cillian Murphy

Netflix is finally making a Peaky Blinders movie with Cillian Murphy. Here’s what we know.

If you’re a big fan of the BBC crime series Peaky Blinders, the beloved show is finally getting the cinematic treatment.

Netflix confirmed on Tuesday that Oscar winner Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Tommy Shelby in an upcoming Peaky Blinders movie on the streaming playform.

“It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me,” Murphy said via Netflix. “It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.”

Show director Harper will helm the film, while Knight, who created the series, will pen the script. Murphy played the antihero Shelby in six seasons of the show, with the most recent season airing in 2022.

“I’m genuinely thrilled that this movie is about to happen,” Knight told Netflix about the movie. “It will be an explosive chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. No holds barred. Full on Peaky Blinders at war.”

There’s no release date set for the project, but a 2025 or 2026 release would track the announcement timeline.

A contestant’s bizarre Wheel of Fortune puzzle answer turned into a NSFW disaster

Yikes.

On Thursday’s Wheel of Fortune, contestant Tavares made a guess that nobody will ever forget … for all the wrong reasons.

While trying to solve a puzzle, Tavares dinged in with his buzzer to suggest the kinda-sorta NSFW answer was, we mean this seriously…

“Right in the butt.” Yikes.

As you can imagine, the answer was absolutely not “Right in the butt,” being that the first word only had four letters, and this is a family game show that comes on while people eat dinner.

The entire room was shocked at the guess, as longtime host Pat Sajak quickly rejected Tavares’ answer. The actual answer? “This is the best.”

We’re guessing Tavares probably wants this answer back in retrospect.
