Devin McCourty reveals ideal playing destination for Tom Brady

If Tom Brady did return, this is the team Devin McCourty could envision him joining.

Former New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty sees an interesting scenario where Tom Brady could return to the NFL. That scenario, however, would not take him back to New England.

In what would be an interesting twist, McCourty could see Brady calling Miami home, if he decided to return to football.

It would be an ideal move, given that Miami has wide receivers like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. They also made a major move recently, acquiring Jalen Ramsey on the defensive side of the football. The Dolphins have the pieces to win, and this is something that could make Miami enticing to Brady.

McCourty spoke on Chris Long’s “Green Light” podcast recently and mused over the idea, as transcribed by NESN.com’s Gio Rivera.

“Yo, I think he’s done, until Miami kind of worked itself out,” said McCourty. “I’m not saying he’s going to [join the Miami Dolphins], but I would not be surprised if he decided like, ‘Yo, I’m living in Miami now. They just got Jalen Ramsey.’ They got a lot of things that can go right over there.

“…Just knowing him, the thought that he can throw the ball to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Like, I could see him very excited about the idea.”

It would certainly be bittersweet to see Brady in a Dolphins uniform.

The move would make sense, given that the quarterback would not have to leave the state of Florida. Nevertheless, this is pure speculation on Brady, who is still enjoying retirement.

Former Bucs QB Tom Brady joins Las Vegas Aces ownership group

Brady will acquire an interest in the WNBA team that is owned in majority by Raiders owner Mark Davis.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB [autotag]Tom Brady[/autotag] is joining an ownership group — but it isn’t a team in the NFL.

Brady announced on Thursday that he is joining the ownership group for the Las Vegas Aces of the Women’s National Basketball Association. There is at least some NFL connection, as the Aces are majority owned by Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis.

The Aces certainly evoke Brady’s love for championships, as the team are the most recent WNBA champions under head coach Becky Hammon. The move is perhaps Brady’s biggest since retiring once again after the 2022 season, though he’s also set to join FOX Sports as a commentator in 2024.

Brady mentioned in his announcement video that his sisters, and his daughter, have propelled his love of women’s sports, which he says was a part of his decision to join up with what he called “a great organization”.

NFL combine whispers reportedly hinted at Tom Brady NFL return

The Tom Brady rumor mill is buzzing, again.

Never say never when it comes to Tom Brady—obviously.

The rumor mill is once again buzzing about the possibility of the legendary quarterback returning to the NFL, after retiring a little over a month ago.

Sports commentator Rich Eisen claimed he heard whispers at the NFL Scouting Combine that Brady “might not be done after all.” Guess what team was reportedly brought into the conversation as a possible destination.

If you said the Miami Dolphins, you get a gold star.

The Dolphins’ starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, battled head injuries throughout the 2022 season, and if he isn’t medically cleared to go next season, it could put the team in a position to consider bringing in the ageless wonder, who just so happens to live in Florida.

“Tom Brady may not be done after all,” Eisen said on The Rich Eisen Show. “It was couple of people, like, ‘Just hang on, just you wait.’ I’m like, ‘He’s Instragramming out videos of his cat.’ But it doesn’t look like he’s getting big and fat—does it?

…The one place folks are saying keep an eye out for is Miami. If the Dolphins get a doctor’s report, a piece of information from a medical evaluation of Tua that he may not be ready to go and suddenly, there’s Tom Brady sitting in Florida, where his family is located and where he can easily locate himself, keep an eye on that. I was told by a couple of birdies.”

Brady joining the Dolphins with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle as his receivers would be a power move the likes of which hasn’t been seen in South Beach since LeBron James joined Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to form the big-three with the Miami Heat.

But unless Tagovailoa somehow has a major setback, all of this talk is likely nothing more than a blockbuster pipe dream.

Tom Brady’s hilarious response to latest NFL comeback rumors

The GOAT himself responded to the latest rumors in the best possible way

For the second offseason in a row, rumors of Tom Brady coming out of retirement for another NFL season are once again making the rounds.

Unlike last year, though, it looks like this new speculation has no basis in reality.

That’s according to the GOAT himself, who posted on social media Tuesday with a fantastic response to a rumor passed along Monday by Rich Eisen.

Eisen claimed that rumors were circulating that Brady could come out of retirement for the second year in a row, and might be targeting the Miami Dolphins for his 24th NFL season.

Instead, it looks like Brady will be focusing on litter boxes and tuna-flavored treats.

Tom Brady ‘might not be done after all’

Rich Eisen passes along a rumor that the GOAT might come out of retirement for the second time

I know, I know.

But blame Rich Eisen for this one, okay?

On his show Monday, Eisen passed along a handful of rumors from his time in Indianapolis at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, and one of them just had to be about the potential for Tom Brady to come out of retirement for the second time.

Eisen says the team he’s hearing connected with Brady is the Miami Dolphins, who were penalized heavily by the NFL for tampering with Brady while he was still playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2021 season.

Here’s what Eisen had to say, as well as the rest of his combine rumors:

Never say never with Brady, but we’ll believe this when we see it.

Tom Brady is getting his own baseball cards

The GOAT will be featured by Topps in their baseball offerings this year, complete with autographs

Tom Brady is retired from football (again, for good, we think), but now he’s going to make his mark in another sport.

Brady will be featured by Topps in one of their baseball card series this year, complete with autographed versions, the company announced Tuesday.

Before he was the GOAT on the gridiron, Brady was selected by the Montreal Expos in the 1995 MLB draft.

I think it’s safe to say he chose the right sport for his professional career.

Greg Olsen maintaining strong work ethic despite Tom Brady job rumors

Greg Olsen isn’t letting Tom Brady’s eventual arrival change his work ethic in the broadcast booth.

Greg Olsen may have a competitor in the broadcast booth, as Tom Brady is expected to take over the No. 1 NFL analyst job whenever he wants it.

But until that day comes, Olsen plans to continue moving forward with business as usual.

Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million contract last year, right as Olsen was finding his stride in the broadcast booth. The former Carolina Panthers tight end will have another season with Kevin Burkhardt in the booth, and he plans on using it as an opportunity to prove himself.

When recently discussing his job commitments, he made it clear he is still going to show up and do his job.

“I have all of the respect in the world for Tom. He’s the greatest. I get it. I understand why they went after him. But I’m not gonna roll over and die,” Olsen said, via Queen City News. “I’m willing to do what these guys aren’t willing to do, until they kick me out. I’m gonna sit there and do it. Maybe he [Brady] does come and take my job one day. I can live with that. I get it. I understand the rules that we all sign up for.”

This could be a make-or-break season in the booth for Olsen, and it’s clear he’s going to give it his all until further notice.

Bruce Arians noticed this about Tom Brady in final season with Bucs

Bruce Arians admits Tom Brady had a different look in his final season with the Buccaneers.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians indicated that former Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was not himself in his final season with the team.

The 2022 season was not a bad one for Brady statistically. The quarterback threw for 4,694 yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He struggled early on in the season but managed to play at a higher level towards the end of the year.

Even in his attempts to compartmentalize, Brady was dealing with a bunch of things off the field as well. His divorce from Gisele Bündchen remained a hot topic in the news and the media blitz because it was something that lasted throughout the season.

Between the up-and-down play and his issues off the field, Arians noticed a different Brady.

“Tom wasn’t himself, you know, with all the things that were going on,” Arians said, when appearing on “The Rich Eisen Show.” “And I’ve got to give him all the credit in the world for battling through what he went through last year for his teammates. I think the world of him, but it wasn’t the real Tom Brady out there.”

Brady finished a mini-run in Tampa Bay that saw him throw for 14,643 yards, and 33 touchdowns. He won a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in a three-year tenure. If nothing else, Brady at least got one ring out of his time in Tampa Bay.

WATCH: Behind the scenes of Tom Brady’s final game

Check out this awesome behind-the-scenes look at Tom Brady’s final NFL game

When Tom Brady walked off the field that Monday night after a playoff loss to the Dallas Cowboys, it would be the last time.

For real, this time.

The GOAT announced his (second) retirement a few weeks after his Tampa Bay Buccaneers were bounced from the first round of the playoffs, ending a legendary 23-year NFL career that’s not likely to ever be matched.

Tampa Bay’s incredible digital/creative team was at the top of their game chronicling Brady’s last ride, putting together an epic behidn-the-scenes look as he rode off into the sunset as the greatest to ever do it:

Tom Brady to produce new TV series about John Madden

A new limited series about the life of John Madden is on the way, with Tom Brady’s production company leading the charge

Just weeks into his second retirement, Tom Brady is already hard at work in the next chapter of his life.

The latest feather in the GOAT’s cap will be a new limited series about the life and career of legendary football icon John Madden, with Brady and his production company at the helm.

“I grew up admiring John Madden, first as a coach, then as a commentator. I loved John’s passion for the game, especially his insatiable appetite for educating audiences about football,” Brady told Deadline. “He welcomed fans with that warm smile, infectious laugh, and exceptional knowledge of the game, making everyone feel as if John were watching the broadcast right next to them on their living room sofa. On behalf of 199 Productions, I’m honored to collaborate with Virginia and Mike Madden, my co-founder at Religion of Sports, Gotham Chopra, and the rest of the creative team, in telling the iconic story of a family man who revolutionized not only the game but the culture of football.”

Madden was a gridiron revolutionary in myriad ways, as a Super Bowl-winning coach, a Hall of Fame broadcaster, and the face of football video games with his “Madden NFL” series.

The series doesn’t have a landing spot in terms of distribution yet, but will be determined after the episodes are filmed, according to Deadline.
