The over/under on the Cardinals for 2020 was 6.5 in the opening line after the Super Bowl. Vegas has moved it up a half-tick after a draft that opened with Isaiah Simmons from Clemson being chosen by Arizona. This could be a major challenge hurdle to clear as the Cardinals face six games in the NFC West against tough foes before they get a look at the rest of their schedule. They were 3-13 and 5-10-1 in the last two seasons.

Weaver may also have the quote of the draft: “I hit people as hard as I possibly can. (I like) really taking the soul out of people. Once you get in the third, fourth quarter, they don’t want to play anymore, because they just don’t want to hang with you.”

There was a surreal moment or three when the NFL Draft broadcast cut to Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel’s house.
The NFL Draft was proceeding smoothly and then ESPN cut to the home of Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel late in the first round Thursday.
Let’s start with the strangeness of the two people standing still on both side of the Titans’ logo flag.

Joe Burrow becomes the 19th LSU quarterback to be selected in the NFL Draft.
He won the Heisman Trophy and the national championship. Now, Joe Burrow joins 18 fellow LSU quarterbacks who were selected by NFL teams. A sidenote: One, Y.A. Tittle, was actually a first-round pick twice. How that happened is explained along with background on the other Tigers quarterbacks who merited being picked by NFL teams.
