The latest NFL odds from Tipico Sportsbook are live ahead of Week 10, which will see the 5-3 New Orleans Saints travel to play the 7-2 Tennessee Titans. The Titans are favored by 2.5 points; take the over/under of 44.5 and that suggests a final score of Tennessee 24, New Orleans 21.

While the Saints offense hasn’t met its usual high expectations, they’ve scored fewer than 21 points just twice this season. They’re averaging a respectable 25.1 points per game and should find ways to win even against  a tough Titans defense.

So can their defense do its job and limit big plays by the Tennessee offense? They kept on churning even without Derrick Henry and have a pair of dangerous receivers in A.J. Brown and Julio Jones. Marshon Lattimore has won his matchups with each of them in the past, but it’s less certain that the Saints secondary can contain the other receiver. Rookie starter Paulson Adebo has been a liability at times in recent weeks and it might be time for the Saints to move Bradley Roby into the lineup.

However it shakes out: I’m taking the over here, even with the Saints starting either Trevor Siemian or Taysom Hill at quarterback. Sean Payton will dig deep in his bag and get points on the board. We’ve seen the Saints surprise some opponents expecting an easy win on the road before, and they shouldn’t be ruled out here.

Tipico Sportsbook favors Buccaneers over Saints in Week 8

Tipico Sportsbook favors Buccaneers over Saints in Week 8

Woof. The New Orleans Saints return home to find themselves as underdogs inside the welcoming walls of the Caesars Superdome, per Tipico Sportsbook. Tipico has the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers favored by 5.5 points — take that with the over/under of 49.5 and you’ve got a suggested final tally of Tampa Bay 28, New Orleans 22.

Unfortunately, that shouldn’t be too surprising. The Buccaneers are riding a 6-1 record and expect to get a number of playmakers back from injuries, including Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski on offense and Lavonte David and Richard Sherman on defense. They’ve been playing very good football and want to go into their bye week at 7-1.

The Saints, meanwhile, have been remarkably sloppy. Great as the New Orleans defense has performed this year, Jameis Winston has struggled to lift an offense lacking any serious threats at wide receiver. Unless Winston’s supporting cast can rapidly improve in just a week, he’ll be hard-pressed to keep up the pace with Brady and his smorgasbord of weapons. The Saints must be on top of their game if they want to improve to 5-2.

The lines, courtesy of Tipico Sportsbook

  • Point spread: Nets -3.5
  • Money line: Nets -150 / Sixers +122
  • Over-under: 225.5

Advice and prediction

The chemistry is not there for the Nets. To add insult to injury, Nic Claxton’s conditioning is also not where it is supposed to be yet. As the best defender on the team, big responsibilities come with that. If he can go through this game without being too much fatigued, chemistry on the offensive end won’t matter because this all Brooklyn need to leave Wells Fargo Center with a win. Take the points, Sixers +3.5.

Prediction: Nets 106, Sixers 118

Tipico Sportsbook: Saints open as road favorites at Seahawks in Week 7

The New Orleans Saints are trending in a very different direction from this week’s opponent, and that’s reflected in the opening line from Tipico Sportsbook. New Orleans is visiting the Seattle Seahawks for a Monday night game on Oct. 25 which the Saints are favored to win by 5.5 points — taken with the initial over/under of 44.5, that projects a final tally close to New Orleans 26, Seattle 20.

That would be the fourth-lowest scoring game of Week 7, behind only Broncos-Browns, Jets-Patriots, and Panthers-Giants. It would also be the lowest scoring output by the Saints in a victory this season; Jameis Winston has quarterbacked the Saints well enough to compete in nearly every game they’ve played, while Geno Smith is fresh off the heels of a frustrating overtime loss on Sunday night.

With a number of starters expected to return from injuries over the next few weeks, the offense should take several steps forward. Bolstering the offensive line with Erik McCoy and Terron Armstead while upgrading the receiving corps with Michael Thomas and Tre’Quan Smith will be huge. We’ll have to wait and see who makes their return this week as the injury report begins to update on Wednesday.

Tipico Sportsbook narrowly favors the Saints in Week 5 at Washington

Tipico Sportsbook narrowly favors the Saints in Week 5 at Washington

[sendtonews_embed video_id=”nxFKaiWwm6-1540456-7498″]

The New Orleans Saints fell flat against high expectations in Week 4. They were heavily favored to knock off the visiting New York Giants, but instead lost a close game in overtime. Now Tipico Sportsbook has opened up their Week 5 odds with the Saints again favored to win, but only slightly.

Right now, New Orleans is favored to fly out and beat the Washington Football Team on the road by 2.5 points. The game’s initial over/under is set at 44.5 points, suggesting a final tally around New Orleans 24, Washington 21. That’s too close for comfort for a team that couldn’t finish up an even worse opponent.

But we’ll see how the week unfolds. The Saints should get some players back from injured reserve, while Washington has its own number of injuries to manage. They’re quarterbacked by Taylor Heinicke, a feisty journeyman who has thrown 8 touchdowns against 3 interceptions while completing 69.5% of his passes this year, averaging an impressive adjusted net yards per pass attempt (accounting for sacks and scoring plays) of 8.01. Let’s hope the Saints do a better job preparing for him than they did readying for Daniel Jones last week.
