In a huge game between the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos, Jayden Reed finished off a spectacular play to help give the Packers a 17-16 lead over the host Broncos.

A pass on 4th and 2 that tipped off of Romeo Doubs hands, resulted in a diving touchdown grab by Reed.

Former Michigan State football DB Josiah Scott signing with Philadelphia Eagles

Josiah Scott is returning to Philadelphia:

Josiah Scott was one of the last great defensive backs of the Mark Dantonio era at Michigan State. Following a three year career in East Lansing, Scott was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After a year in Jacksonville, Scott spent two years with the Philadelphia Eagles before joining on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now on the Steelers practice squad, it is reported by his agent that Scott will be signing with the Eagles active roster.

Former Michigan State football QB Brian Hoyer comes in relief to lead Raiders to win

Brian Hoyer came in relief to lead the Raiders to a win over the Patriots on Sunday

Brian Hoyer has carved out a very nice career for himself in the National Football League. While spending some years as a starter, he has been a very solid backup for several teams around the league, amounting to what is currently a 15-year career in the league.

Now, with the Las Vegas Raiders, Hoyer was called upon to replace starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo against the New England Patriots.

In a 13-10 game early in the second half, Garoppolo had to leave the game due to injury, handing the keys over to Brian Hoyer.

In relief, Hoyer led the Raiders to a 21-17 win over his former team. He finished 6-for-10 for 102 yards.

Kirk Cousins makes headlines in very wholesome moment

Kirk Cousins made social media headlines on Wednesday:

The MLB postseason is upon us with baseball fans all over taking in playoff baseball. Former Spartan, and current Minnesota Vikings QB, Kirk Cousins fell into that category, wanting to take in some playoff baseball.

The Minnesota Twins made the postseason, and Cousins wanted to take his family to game two of their Wild Card series.

Instead of calling in favors, or asking for tickets, Cousins was just like any other fan and bought tickets online so his family could watch the game. The news made headlines across social media.

Kenneth Walker wins NFC Offensive Player of the Week award

K9 is this weeks NFC Offensive Player of the Week:

Kenneth Walker is continuing to cause problems to defenses in the National Football League. In a game against the Carolina Panthers, Walker finished with 18 carries for 97 yards and two touchdowns, along with 3 receptions for 59 yards. This performance has earned Walker the honor of the NFC Offensive Player of the Week in week three.

Walker and Seattle will be back in action in primetime on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants this week.

Former MSU football DE Kenny Willekes trying out for Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions hosted a familiar face for a tryout on Tuesday:

Kenny Willekes was a standout defensive end for Michigan State from 2015 to 2019. The former walk-on went on to get drafted in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings, where he played for three seasons. Willekes recorded 16 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a pass deflection in his time with Minnesota.

Now, as a free agent, it appears Willekes is looking to make his way back into the NFL. The defensive end was listed on the Detroit Lions’ most recent try out report:

Former MSU star wide receiver Jayden Reed has scored his first career NFL touchdown

Former Michigan State star wide receiver Jayden Reed has scored his first career NFL touchdown.

Reed scored a nine-yard receiving touchdown in the second quarter of a week two matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons. Reed took the short pass and was able to use his speed to beat the defense for the score.

Jack Conklin reportedly suffers season ending knee injury

Jack Conklin’s 2023 season may be over:

Jack Conklin was an integral part of the Cleveland Browns offensive line heading into the 2023 season. The former first-round pick out of Michigan State has been a quality offensive tackle for both the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns in his NFL career.

In the Brown’s Week 1 game against the Bengals, it appears Conklin may have suffered a knee injury that could jeopardize his 2023 season.
