WATCH: Vikings LB Andrew Van Ginkel makes a house call in London

The Minnesota Vikings stumbled out of the gate against the Jets in London as the NFL kicked off its 2024 international series of games.

The Minnesota Vikings stumbled out of the gate against the Jets in London as the NFL kicked off its 2024 international series of games. They recovered quickly, though, and were up 10-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Brian Flores and his Viking defense are back at it again early against the Jets. They caused two Aaron Rodgers interceptions while only allowing three completions in the first quarter. The second of those two interceptions was run all the way back as Andrew Van Ginkel did his best doctor impression with his second house call of the year.

Andrew Van Ginkel is now third on the team in touchdowns, with two, trailing only Aaron Jones (2) and Justin Jefferson (3). The defense, led by Van Ginkel, hopes to keep momentum on its side as it looks to keep Aaron Rodgers on his toes.

Keep up with the Vikings and Jets action on NFL Network early on Sunday morning.

WATCH: The Skol chant travels to London with the Vikings

Each team has something its fans cling to that makes it unique and connects emotionally.

There are many great scenes in the NFL in a variety of stadiums. Each team has something its fans cling to that makes it unique and connects emotionally.

For Vikings fans, it is the Skol chant.

The Jets—Vikings game in London in Week 5 is Minnesota’s home game. Every Vikings home game includes two things: the Vikings mascot using the drum to direct the Skol Chant and, of course, the fans completing the chant. On Sunday, the fans who filled Tottenham Hotspur Stadium did just that.

With a crowd size of just under 60,000, the mostly Vikings-fan-filled stadium did its best to make London feel like one of the Twin Cities with its Skol Chant. It was led by former Vikings Jared Allen, who will be honored at halftime of today’s game.

It was quite a start to what is sure to be an exciting day for the Vikings and it’s fanbase.

Derrick Rose announced his retirement from basketball after asking to be waived by the Memphis Grizzlies. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 draft played for the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons and Memphis over his pro career.

Many fans still wonder what Rose, the youngest MVP in NBA history, could have accomplished had he not suffered that horrible ACL injury during the 2012 playoffs.

Vikings rookie Will Reichard makes bold choice in regards to his appearance

The Minnesota Vikings’ 2024 NFL Draft class is likely to leave a lasting impact on the franchise.

The Minnesota Vikings’ 2024 NFL Draft class is likely to leave a lasting impact on the franchise. On both sides of the ball, Dallas Turner and J.J. McCarthy are playmakers who will lead the franchise.

Not to be forgotten, though, is that they have Will “The Thrill” Reichard as their new kicker on special teams.

During his press availability this week, Special Team Coordinator Matt Daniels told the media some interesting facts about the rookie kicker. The most interesting being that he gets a haircut before the season and doesn’t get another one until he misses a kick.

He was already a fan favorite thanks to the Vikings’ social media team, but he is somehow earning more fans by the week.

Through two weeks of the 2024 season, Reichard is 3-for-3 on field goal attempts this year with his longest coming from 39 yards out. He is also 6-for-6 on extra points heading into Week 3.

Going back to 2020, Bucs have the most wins in the NFC

Coming off of three straight NFC South crowns and a Super Bowl win in 2020, the Bucs remain the winningest team in the NFC since that year.

There’s even more good news for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following their 2-0 start to the 2024 season. Since 2020, the Bucs have had the most wins in the entire NFC, including playoff victories.

The Bucs social media team mentioned this in a post.

The 2020 season was magical, as the team signed future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady, leading them to an 11-5 record and a Super Bowl LV victory. They were even better the next season, going 13-4, but lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional round.

The next two seasons saw the Bucs repeat as NFC South champions, but with lower win totals than expected. They went just 8-9 and 9-8 in 2022 and 2023, respectively, but they still managed one playoff victory in that timeframe.

Including their two wins so far in 2024, the Bucs have 43 regular season and six playoff wins since the beginning of 2020. A remarkable feat, the Bucs are looking to now become true threats in the NFC.

Adrian Wojnarowski announced his retirement from the news industry after a successful career as a reporter and columnist and he will become the general manager of the men’s basketball program at St. Bonaventure, his alma mater. When there was a big trade in the NBA, Wojnarowski was there to break the news. The famous ‘Woj Bombs’ are now over.

Bucs poke fun at doubters on social media following win over Lions

Following Sunday’s 20-16 win in Detroit over the Lions, the Buccaneers social media team poked fun at the doubters.

The Detroit Lions have become somewhat of a media darling over the course of the last two seasons, something that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers only seemed to have enjoyed during the three seasons Tom Brady captained the ship.

Ask anyone outside of Tampa to talk about Lavonte David’s career, if you needed further clarification of the lack of national attention the Buccaneers receive.

Following Sunday’s 20-16 win in Detroit over the Lions, the Buccaneers social media team poked fun at the doubters—basically everyone—who said the team would go to the Motor City 1-0 and leave 1-1, licking their wounds, especially with the laundry list of starters and key playmakers on the injury report.

To best explain what a “W Admin” comment on X means, you really need to look no further than the highlight reel of detractors that the Buccaneers social media team posted. Talking heads such as Stephen A. Smith went on record earlier last week after Baker Mayfield’s 4 TD effort against the Washington Commanders to say that  “he’s [Mayfield] very good, but I’m not going to go as far as saying he’s ‘top tier’,” on ESPN’s First Take.

The Bucs will look to continue their hot start to the season and get to 3-0 for the first time since 2005 when the 0-2 Denver Broncos come to town.
