Anatoly Malykhin (11-0) knocked out Kirill Grishenko (5-1) in the second round to win the interim heavyweight title in the “ONE Championship: Bad Blood” main event in Singapore.

Malykhin used a speed advantage early in the fight and had Grishenko quickly playing defense. Malykhin unloaded with punches in bunches just past the midway point of the second round and finally landed the punch that put Grishenko on the canvas.

For the knockout, Malykhin picked up $100,000 in bonuses to go with his new title.

[autotag]John Lineker[/autotag] (34-9) has been forced out of Friday’s bantamweight title fight against champion [autotag]Bibiano Fernandes[/autotag] (24-4) due to a positive COVID-19. The news was first reported by MMA Fighting on Wednesday.

Lineker took to Instagram to address his withdrawal, saying that the promotion’s plans are to reschedule the bout.

The pair will have been rescheduled for the second time. Fernandes and Lineker originally were slated for the Dec. 5 “ONE: X” 10th anniversary show in Singapore, but the event was canceled due to rising COVID-19 cases on the island city-state.

Per promotion officials, the interim heavyweight title fight between Kirill Grishenko vs. Anatoly Malykhin will now serve as “Bad Blood’s” headliner on Friday.

Lipeng (32-11-2) knocked out [autotag]Ruslan Emilbek[/autotag] (16-3) in just 32 seconds in the featured MMA bout at ONE Championship: Only the Brave on Friday. When Emilbek threw a right hand early in the fight, Lipeng slid back, then countered with a left that connected. Lipeng landed a right hand that was on the button while Emilbek was falling to the canvas.

The finish was one of the fastest in ONE lightweight history. Lipeng earned a $50,000 bonus for the finish.

Lipeng returned from a layoff of nearly two years in August 2021 and outpointed former champion Eduard Folayang in his promotional debut. His Friday knockout was the fastest finish of his career.

Lipeng fought four times in the UFC from 2014-2015 and went 2-2.

While Nakashima had some early moments of success on the feet, Izagakhmaev quickly settled into his own rhythm before dragging the action to the floor and scoring a second-round submission via arm-triangle choke, as well as a $50,000 bonus for his efforts.

Xiong (17-2) retained her women’s strawweight title with a unanimous decision over [autotag]Ayaka Miura[/autotag] (11-4) in the main event. It was Xiong’s sixth successful defense of the belt. ONE Championship: Heavy Hitters took place at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Miura hoped to take the fight to the canvas against the champ, but Xiong’s boxing and power was too strong, as was her takedown defense en route to the decision win. The 34-year-old Chinese fighter won for the third straight time and 12th time in 13 fights. Her only loss in that stretch was when she move down 10 pounds to challenge for Angela Lee’s atomweight title and was submitted in 2019.

In other MMA action on the card, Khabib Nurmagomedov protege [autotag]Saygid Izagakhmaev[/autotag] submitted former title challenger [autotag]James Nakashima[/autotag] with an arm-triangle choke in the second round. Izagakhmaev picked up a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE after the fight.

ONE Championship announces dates for Johnson-Rodtang special rules bout, three title fights

Demetrious Johnson, Bibiano Fernandes and Angela Lee will be back in action for the first time in a long time.

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong on Wednesday announced the dates for two upcoming events that will feature the return of former UFC champion Demetrious Johnson, as well as three title fights.

Sityodtong delivered the news during an appearance on “The MMA Hour.”

On Feb. 11 at ONE Championship: Bad Blood, bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes will defend his title against former UFC standout John Lineker.

On March 26 at ONE X, the promotion’s 10th anniversary event, Johnson will take on Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a previously announced special rules bout. Also on the card, two title fights will take place, with Angela Lee defending her atomweight title against Stamp Fairtex, while flyweight champ Adriano Moraes takes on Yuya Wakamatsu.

Fernandes vs. Lineker and Johnson vs. Rodtang originally had been slated to happen last December at ONE X, which was postponed because of COVID-19.

Both ONE: Bad Blood and ONE X are expected to take place at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
