Ousmane Dieng assigned to G League’s OKC Blue

Ousmane Dieng assigned to G League’s OKC Blue.

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Friday they had assigned Ousmane Dieng to the G League’s OKC Blue.

This has been a regular occurrence for the second-year wing in his tenure with the Thunder. The 20-year-old has struggled to gain consistent playing time in the NBA, so the G League provides him a chance to get serious reps.

Dieng was recalled from a lengthy stay with the Blue on Jan. 10, and he appeared in four games for the Thunder in his latest stay.

During his recent assignment, he averaged 16.9 points on 39% shooting, seven rebounds and 3.1 assists in seven games. He shot 23.1% from 3 on 5.6 attempts.

In 22 games with the Thunder, Dieng has averaged 4.2 points on 42.3% shooting, and 1.9 rebounds. The 20-year-old was drafted with the 11th pick in the 2022 NBA draft.
