Kansas City Chiefs win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the TEAM NAME, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Kansas City Chiefs blew an 11-point halftime lead in the AFC Championship Game or they would have been just the 4th franchise in NFL history to have played in 3 straight Super Bowls. Despite offseason changes, the path to the Super Bowl in the AFC still goes through Arrowhead Stadium.

Below, we look at the Kansas City Chiefs 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The Chiefs went through an incredible roster overhaul in the offseason. Among the starters gone are Tyreek Hill, Tyrann Mathieu, Charvarius Ward, Jarran Reed and Daniel Sorenson. Big-name new arrivals include JuJu Smith-Schuster, Justin Reid, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Ronald Jones, Deon Bush and Lonnie Johnson.

The Chiefs realized that having the 27th ranked defense doesn’t win Super Bowls often and addressed it in the draft in a big way, including first-rounders CB Trent McDuffie and DE George Karlaftis, second-round safety Bryan Cook and third-round linebacker Leo Chanal.

Kansas City Chiefs 2022 win total: Best bet

Over/Under: 10.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

The Chiefs schedule is an absolute gauntlet that includes 9 games against 2021 playoffs teams (including 5 of their first 7) and 12 games against teams with winning records last year (including each of the first 8).

The Over/Under is a big number at 10.5, but the Chiefs are better than a 10-7 team, even with the landmine of a schedule in front of them. QB Patrick Mahomes will have to play at a MVP level and go 4-2 or better in the division to hit this number. The Chiefs have won 12 or more games in each of the last 4 years and haven’t lost 7 games in a season since 2014.

TAKE THE OVER (-110)

Kansas City Chiefs 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)

For a team that should have been in the Super Bowl a 3rd straight year, getting 10/1 odds is an enticing bet because it provides the return on investment necessary to win, given the Chiefs’ consistent level of success. It is like betting on the Patriots during the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era — you always knew you were in it when you got deep into the playoffs and only needed 1 or 2 more wins.

A betting strategy this year is to put $100 on the three teams at +1,000 (Kansas City, the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams). They’re all getting the same return on investment and it hedges your bet on the defending champs and the 2 winningest franchises over the last several years.

TAKE THE CHIEFS TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL (+1000).

Kansas City Chiefs 2022 playoff odds

Will Chiefs make the playoffs: Yes -220 | No +170

I have no doubt that the Chiefs have the firepower on offense and enough playmakers on defense to make the playoffs again, but I don’t like investing more than double the return when there are other bets that can be placed (like winning the division) that have a payoff where you win more than you wager, not putting up 2.2 times what you would get back with a cash in.

Do I think the Chiefs will make the playoffs? Definitely. Am I willing to put up as much as would be required to get a return? Absolutely not. PASS.

Odds to win AFC West Division

  • Denver Broncos +260 (bet $100 to win $260)
  • Kansas City Chiefs +155 (bet $100 to win $155)
  • Las Vegas Raiders +600 (bet $100 to win $600)
  • Los Angeles Chargers +240 (bet $100 to win $100)

The fact the Chiefs aren’t even money or worse speaks to the talent in this division. At +155 the Chiefs are the favorite, but only the competitive balance in the AFC North has a favorite with a higher return number (the the Cleveland Browns at +190).

While the personnel has changed a lot in the offseason, Andy Reid and his coaching staff have not. In 9 years as Kansas City’s coach, Reid has never finished worst than 2nd and has won the division each of the last 6 seasons.

All good things must come to an end, but the Chiefs won’t give up their spot as the big dogs of the AFC West without a fight or a slew of key injuries. TAKE THE CHIEFS TO WIN THE AFC WEST (+155).

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +500 (bet $100 to win $500)

Given the brutal schedule the Chiefs are facing, it will be much more difficult for the team to lock down homefield advantage than someone like Buffalo or Tennessee that has a much easier path. But, as the AFC has learned in recent years, getting rid of the Chiefs in the postseason doesn’t come easy.

If someone would tell you in January that they would give you 5/1 odds that Kansas City would beat Buffalo on the road in the AFC Championship game would you take it? That’s what the current odds tell us. A lot can happen between now and then, but I’ll take that risk. TAKE THE CHIEFS TO WIN THE AFC (+500).

2022 Cincinnati Bengals win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Cincinnati Bengals, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Cincinnati Bengals ended the 2021 season with 10-7 record. They won the AFC North, secured the No. 4 seed and earned a home playoff game in which they beat the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Bengals then beat the Tennessee Titans and then the QB Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs on the road, before losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl.

Projected last preseason as one of the worst teams in the AFC, the Bengals crushed expectations in 2021 and will be bringing back a similar roster in 2022.

They selected Michigan S Daxton Hill in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Adding 3 offensive linemen was also a key feature of their offseason.

The reigning AFC North champions have been to the playoffs 6 of the last 11 seasons, but they are 0-3 in the Super Bowl.

Below, we look at the Cincinnati Bengals’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

Cincinnati Bengals’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Over/Under: 9.5 (O: -115 | U: -115)

The Bengals hope to have a potential MVP candidate this season in QB Joe Burrow. They improved their offensive line and enhanced the speed in their secondary. It was a big-time offseason for the Bengals.

However, this value is made difficult by their schedule, taking on the top three teams from the AFC a season ago and then multiple top-tier AFC sides.

Cincinnati technically has the 10th-most difficult schedule, but keep in mind, the Browns added QB Deshaun Watson and the Ravens will at least enter the season near full strength.

The OVER 9.5 (-115) which just assumes no regression is actually my favorite bet.

The Bengals were 4-2 against playoffs teams from a season ago and should dominate to start the season. Cincinnati should have 7 wins before they enter their tough last month and a half.

Cincinnati Bengals’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2000)

Cincinnati is tied with the ninth shortest odds to win it all. The Buffalo Bills (+600) are the favorites, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

At +2000, Cincinnati has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 4.8% or 20/1 fractional odds.

The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000.

Backing Cincinnati (+2000) to win the Super Bowl for a 20-to-1 payoff is worth a small wager considering the experience they’ll enter the season with from their Super Bowl run last season.

Cincinnati Bengals’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Bengals make the playoffs: Yes -140 | No +110

Since the addition of the 7th team in each conference, backing Cincinnati to make the playoffs at -140 makes sense, but with just one team in the AFC making it with 9 wins, putting that unit toward their win total would seem to make more sense.

There are just so many wild cards in the conference, mainly the Colts, Browns and Broncos, all with new starting quarterbacks this season. The potential for them to play at a high level and get double-digit wins is too great for me to suggest backing Cincinnati at a -140 value.

However, there’s also no chance I’d give out fading the Super Bowl runner-up who only strengthened their weaknesses from last season.

Odds to win NFC North Division

  • Cleveland Browns +190 (bet $100 to win $190)
  • Baltimore Ravens +200 (bet $100 to win $200)
  • Cincinnati Bengals +200 (bet $100 to win $200)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers +900 (bet $100 to win $900)

Cincinnati’s implied probability of winning the AFC North is 33.3% or 2/1 fractional odds. The Browns and Ravens are the only threats here, but there is no fun in betting favorites in division futures.

At this value, I’d pass on the Bengals to win the AFC North, partially due to their difficult schedule.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +1000 (bet $100 to win $1000)

While it may sound like I’m beating a dead horse, the Bengals schedule, taking on playoff-caliber teams in their last 7 games, is just too difficult to back them here.

I’d rather put a fraction of a unit on the Bengals to win the Super Bowl, assuming they can hang with anyone in the playoffs.

2022 Pittsburgh Steelers win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Pittsburgh Steelers, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, for the first time since 2003, will not have future first-ballot Hall of Famer QB Ben Roethlisberger on the roster.

Former Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky and first-round draft choice QB Kenny Pickett will battle for the starting spot with the former expected to win the battle.

With a top-tier defense and a star running back, expectations are high for Pittsburgh despite them clearly set to take a step back from a 9-7-1 record last season.

The Steelers have won 3 of the last 6 AFC North titles and have been to the playoffs in 6 of the last 8 seasons, but haven’t won a Super Bowl since 2008.

Below, we look at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2022 schedule

Over/Under: 7.5 (O: -120 | U: -110)

When looking at these props, there’s a reason sportsbooks give juice to one side. They’re clearly more afraid of the over here.

The Steelers experienced staff and defense could propel them to several wins, but I’m not buying that stock as Pittsburgh has the NFL’s most difficult schedule.

It’ll have 6 divisional games against teams that’ll be vying for a playoff spot. It’s tough seeing Pittsburgh winning 8 games this season. The Steelers really only have 3 games that should be surefire wins.

After that, it’s up in the air which is why I’d back its Under 7.5 (-110).

Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +7000 (bet $100 to win $7,000)

Pittsburgh has the 10th longest odds to win it all. The Buffalo Bills (+600) are the favorites, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

At +7000, Pittsburgh has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 1.4% or 70/1 fractional odds.

The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000.

I would be hesitant to back the Steelers (+7000) to win the Super Bowl even for a 70-to-1 payoff.

Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Steelers make the playoffs: Yes +270 | No -370

I would stay away from this wager, mainly because there are just too many teams in the AFC that will be better than the Steelers.

For Pittsburgh to make the playoffs, it would have to beat out at least one of the Browns, Bengals, Ravens, Colts, and Broncos. That just doesn’t feel very likely which is why the Steelers to miss the playoffs is a whopping -370.

Along with the Chargers, Bills, Chiefs, and Titans in the conference, there should be little expectations that the Steelers make the playoffs until they find another franchise quarterback.

Odds to win NFC North Division

  • Cleveland Browns +190 (bet $100 to win $190)
  • Baltimore Ravens +200 (bet $100 to win $200)
  • Cincinnati Bengals +200 (bet $100 to win $200)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers +900 (bet $100 to win $900)

Pittsburgh’s implied probability of winning the AFC North is 10% or 9/1 fractional odds.

Every other team is the only threat here for the Steelers, and that doesn’t bode well for their ability to win the division. There’s just too much talent in the AFC North for Pittsburgh to find life.

PASS.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +4000 (bet $100 to win $4000)

There’s simply no value here.

The payout would be massive, and the Steelers have a conference-winning defense, but their offensive capabilities are going to be limited, although Trubisky might surprise some.

Green Bay Packers win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Green Bay Packers, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Green Bay Packers have been the class of the NFC North for more than 20 years, riding with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers as their quarterbacks since 1992. Under Rodgers, the Packers have won the NFC North title 8 of the last 11 seasons, including 8 of 10 when he was the primary QB.

Below, we look at the Green Bay Packers 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions

The hostage situation in the offseason with Rodgers came with a price. He got $50 million a year and the team couldn’t afford WR Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Packers signed just 4 outside free agents, while losing 11 players to free agency.

The Packers had two picks in the first round of the NFL Draft, using them on defense – LB Quay Walker and DT Devonte Wyatt (both of Georgia). The team got Rodgers a couple of weapons at wide receiver – Christian Watson (North Dakota State) in the second round and Romeo Doubs (Nevada) in the fourth – but Rodgers is going to have a much different supporting cast this season.

Green Bay Packers’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Saturday, May 14 at 5:27 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 10.5 (O: -150 | U: +120)

This is a big opening number – only Buffalo and Tampa Bay are higher at 11.5. But there is a reason why all three are in the spots they are – they take care of business in their 6 division games – as 5-1 is a minimum expectation and 6-0 is in the realm of possibility.

If the Packers go 5-1 inside the NFC North, all they have to do is post a 6-5 record in their non-division games. With the schedule including the Giants, Jets and Commanders, this is a no-brainer to BET OVER 10.5 WINS (-150). You’re investing on a 3:2 ratio, but the Packers have won 13 each of the last three seasons and can shave two off that and still cover.

Green Bay Packers’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)

The bet here seems pretty simple. You’re being given 10:1 odds to take the Packers to bring home the trophy named after their patriarch. It’s hard to imagine with the collective talent that Favre and Rodgers have that they combined to win as many Lombardi Trophies as Eli Manning.

The biggest question is whether Green Bay will get into the postseason. That would be a resounding “yes,” likely earning some home playoff games, too.

While the history is more of heartache than championships, I like PACKERS (+1000) to win the Super Bowl because the price is right in an NFC that has a smoother path to the playoffs than the AFC.

Green Bay Packers’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Packers make the playoffs: Yes -450 | No +320

The only way Green Bay doesn’t make the playoffs is if Rodgers suffers a season-ending injury early in the year. The Vikings are the only team with a shot at contending for the title and they’re coming off firing their coach due to ineffectiveness.

There is no way you ever risk more than 4 times the investment on return. It’s an easy bet to make, but too many variables can come into play to risk that much when there are other more reasonable bets available to invest in. PASS.

Odds to win NFC North Division

  • Chicago Bears +900 (bet $100 to win $900)
  • Detroit Lions +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • Green Bay Packers -180 (bet $180 to win $100)
  • Minnesota Vikings +270 (bet $100 to win $270)

As with the “Will they make the playoffs?” bet, the Packers are prohibitive favorites here for good reason. They’ve been the top dog of this division for some time and, while Minnesota and Chicago have had their moments from time to time, Green Bay owns this division.

The Lions and Bears are afterthoughts this season – even with a favorable non-division schedule.

I’m not a fan of risking too much to get back so little, but I’d invest on the PACKERS (-180) against division opponents that seem a season away (at best) from making a lot of noise.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +450 (bet $100 to win $450)

There are only 5 NFC teams with a legitimate shot at the Super Bowl and two of them (Rams and San Francisco 49ers), play in the same division. Forcing one to go on the road throughout the playoffs is a big ask. If the Packers can stockpile the wins that appear to be out there for the taking in and out of the NFC North to earn home-field advantage in the playoffs, they’ll have a distinct advantage against warm-weather QBs like Tom Brady (Bucs), Matthew Stafford (Rams) and/or Dak Prescott (Cowboys).

At +450, Green Bay is getting a 4.5 times return on investment. If the Packers manage to win 13 games for a fourth straight season, it looks like somebody will have to come to Lambeau Field in late January to stop them.

TAKE PACKERS TO WIN THE NFC (+450) with a reasonably conservative wager.

Minnesota Vikings win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Minnesota Vikings, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

After missing the playoffs the last two seasons, the Minnesota Vikings fired coach Mike Zimmer and General Manager Rick Spielman and are moving forward with former Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell as its new coach.

Below, we look at the Minnesota Vikings 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions

With established players across the offense, including QB Kirk Cousins, RB Dalvin Cook, WR Justin Jefferson and WR Adam Thielen, the Vikings’ offseason focus was clearly on improving the 30th ranked defense from 2021.

They team added LBs Za’Darius Smith and Jordan Hicks, DT Harrison Phillips and CB Chandon Sullivan in free agency and used its first two draft picks on S Lewis Cine (Georgia) and CB Andrew Booth (Clemson).

The Vikings are convinced they have the offensive firepower to win games and a new-look 3-4 defense that looks to be much improved.

Minnesota Vikings’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Saturday, May 14 at 3:41 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 8.5 (O: -130 | U: +110)

Minnesota couldn’t have been handed a better slate of opponents outside the division. The NFC East is viewed as the weakest division in the NFC and the AFC East is clearly the third (or fourth) best top-to-bottom division in the AFC.

The most difficult portion of Minnesota’s schedule comes after its Week 7 bye, when the Vikings face four 2021 playoff teams in a 5-week span. However, 3 of those games are at noisy U.S. Bank Stadium, where the Vikings have historically held a distinct advantage.

The key to this bet is what has helped the Packers hit the Over so often – 4 games against the Bears and Lions. Both teams are in complete rebuild mode and winning 5 games will be viewed as an achievement. If the Vikings can take care of its business against those two teams and take out dregs like the Jets and Giants at home, they won’t need many more wins to get to 9.

TAKE OVER 8.5 (-130).

Minnesota Vikings’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +4000 (bet $100 to win $4,000)

Anyone who knows the Vikings know they have never won a Super Bowl. They haven’t even made the big game in almost 50 years, so to expect a first-year coach to end a lifetime of misery for Minnesota fans may be asking too much.

Minnesota has the horses to make a run at the Super Bowl, but there are just too many elite teams in the AFC that are better than anything the NFC has to offer.

The Vikings are in the same statistical probability as the Saints, Patriots, Raiders and Dolphins – and very few are even predicting any of those teams to win their divisions, much less the Super Bowl.

While the number is tempting for a small wager with big payout potential, the best option here is to PASS.

Minnesota Vikings’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Vikings make the playoffs: Yes +105 | No -130

Much like the Over/Under prediction, when it comes to the Vikings making playoffs, you have to look at who will be in contention. The only legitimate division competition is Green Bay and, if QB Aaron Rodgers goes down, the team could tank and Minnesota makes the playoffs that way.

In my view you realistically can almost eliminate the Giants, Commanders, Bears, Lions, Falcons, Panthers and Seahawks from legitimate playoff consideration considering their current status. I envision 3 playoff teams coming out the NFC West, so that only leaves 1 spot between the Vikings, Saints and Eagles for a wild-card berth.

Minnesota plays both the Saints and Eagles this season on the road early on and both games could weigh heavy in January. Minnesota has an easier schedule than either of those two, so if the Vikings split those 2 games, it should be enough for MINNESOTA TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (+105).

Odds to win NFC North Division

  • Chicago Bears +900 (bet $100 to win $900)
  • Detroit Lions +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • Green Bay Packers -180 (bet $180 to win $100)
  • Minnesota Vikings +270 (bet $100 to win $270)

The Packers are the prohibitive favorite, but if anything happens to Rodgers, who has toyed with the idea of retirement already, the division would be wide open.

There’s a reason the Vikings are +270, but, unlike a lot of other teams that are facing two or three division contenders, the clear sentiment here is that Minnesota and Green Bay are the only two with a chance.

If Rodgers stays healthy, the Packers win. But, it’s a risk worth taking to bet MINNESOTA WINS THE NFC NORTH (+270) with a small wager.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

While I don’t see the Vikings as a team good enough to make it through the playoff gauntlet to win it all, I also like the flyer bets that, once a team gets into the playoffs that anything can happen.

The Vikings are getting 20:1 on investment here and, while admittedly a long shot, a small wager should be made for the VIKINGS TO WIN THE NFC (+2000).

Post draft shuffle: Updated 2023 Super Bowl odds for all 32 NFL teams

Check out the latest Super Bowl 57 odds after a busy offseason and the NFL Draft.

An already exciting NFL offseason full of trades and free-agent moves has been long underway since the Los Angeles Rams captured the 2022 Super Bowl.

The NFL Draft really ramped things up April 28-30. Five defensive players came off the board during the first 5 picks, starting with DE Travon Walker to the Jacksonville Jaguars. By the time the dust settled on the 1st round, a total of 16 defensive players were off the board, while 6 wide receivers were selected — including 4 in the first 12 picks.

QB Kenny Pickett was selected as the only 1st-round signal-caller as the Pittsburgh Steelers selected the University of Pittsburgh product 20th overall. The next drafted QB didn’t go until the 3rd round.

Now that the draft is over, let’s take a look at the updated 2023 Super Bowl odds. Super Bowl 57 will take place at State Farm Arena in Glendale, Ariz., Feb. 12, 2023.
