49ers remain atop NFC West after Week 2

We take a look back at what happened in the NFC West in Wek 2 and what is coming up in Week 3.

The Arizona Cardinals looked like they would get their first win of the season but then were outscored 31-8 in the second half against the New York Giants and lost the game 31-28, leaving them 0-2 on the season and in last place in the NFC West after two games.

The San Francisco 49ers are the only unbeaten team in the division after two weeks and sit atop division standings.

This is what the division looks like after two games.

  1. San Francisco 49ers 2-0 (1-0 division)
  2. Los Angeles Rams 1-1 (1-1 division)
  3. Seattle Seahawks 1-1 (0-1 division)
  4. Arizona Cardinals 0-2 (1-0 division)

Ranking the right tackles in the NFC West entering 2023

There are likely going to be two new starting right tackles in the division in 2023.

On the offensive line, left tackles get the most attention. However, right tackles are equally as important in the NFL now with many teams having a pair of good edge rushers and because good pass rushers often switch sides.

We looked at the right tackles in the division already. In 2023, the San Francisco 49ers will have a new starter as Mike McGlinchey signed with the Denver Broncos, and the Cardinals have a battle for the starting right tackle job.
