Watch highlights from the Spartans’ dominant victory over Washington on Thursday

It was a no-doubter for the Spartans on Thursday night.

Michigan State basketball made easy work of Washington on Thursday, cruising to an 88-54 victory over the visiting Huskies. Michigan State fell behind 1-0 to start the game, but from that point on it was all Spartans. Michigan State used a defensive dominant performance in the first half to build a nearly 30-point lead, and from there they coasted to the win.

Michigan State improved to 13-2 overall and 4-0 in Big Ten play with the win. The Spartans have now won eight straight games dating back to the Maui Invitational in November.

Michigan State dominated Washington for an 88-54 victory at the Breslin Center. The Spartans were clearly the better team all night, and remained perfect in Big Ten play on the year with the win.

Michigan State fell behind 1-0 to start the game, but from that point on it was all Spartans. Michigan State used a defensive dominant performance in the first half to build a nearly 30-point lead, and from there they coasted to the win.

Michigan State is now 13-2 overall and 4-0 in Big Ten play. Michigan State will return to the court on Sunday in a road game at Northwestern. Tipoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FOX.

Michigan State football has extended an offer to a Texas wide receiver prospect in the 2027 class.

Tre Moore of Pflugerville, Texas announced on Tuesday that he’s received an offer from Michigan State. Moore announced the offer from the Spartans via a social media post on X.

Moore is currently unranked on 247Sports. He plays for Weiss High and is listed at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds.

Michigan State is one of more than 10 schools to offer Moore, according to 247Sports. Other notable schools to offer him includes Arizona State, Baylor, Houston, Duke, Oregon, Ole Miss, SMU, Texas Tech, UTSA, Liberty, North Texas and Texas State.

Michigan State football has extended an offer to an under-the-radar Ohio prospect in the 2026 class.

Joey Caudill of Mansfield, Ohio announced on Wednesday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. He made the announcement via social media platform X.

Caudill is a three-star prospect in the 2026 class. He is ranked as the No. 67 athlete and No. 45 player from Ohio in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class.

Michigan State is one of three schools to offer Caudill, according to 247Sports. He also has offers from Miami (OH) and Western Michigan.

Michigan State football will be hosting an in-state athlete who is one of the top players in the state in the 2026 class.

Three-star athlete Samson Gash announced he will be visiting Michigan State on January 19. Gash plays for Detroit Catholic Central and is part of the 2026 class.

Gash ranks as the No. 43 athlete in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He is also ranked as the No. 13 player from Michigan in the class.

Michigan State has yet to offer Gash, but he does hold offers from a number of other FBS programs, according to 247Sports. He holds offers from Toledo, Marshall, Miami (OH), Kent State and Western Michigan.
