Report: Colts’ Chester Rogers suffered season-ending knee fracture

Chester Rogers is done for the year.

The Indianapolis Colts wide receiver room continues to get thinner as Chester Rogers reportedly suffered a season-ending knee fracture during the 31-17 loss against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

During the first quarter, Rogers went down with the knee injury and was quickly ruled out. It was clear how severe the injury was, but now we know he suffered a fracture in his knee, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The Colts already lost Devin Funchess for the remainder of the season while T.Y. Hilton deals with his calf injury and rookie Parris Campbell tries to get back on the field with a hand injury.

It has been a rough season for the Colts wide receivers, who have either been hurt or have lacked production. Now, they will lose another depth piece in the room and one of their starters on special teams as Rogers was the punt returner.

The Colts are going to have to rely on guys like Zach Pascal and Marcus Johnson to continue carrying the load until Hilton and Campbell return.

Report: Colts won’t activate WR Devin Funchess from IR

Devin Funchess is done for the year.

Though the Indianapolis Colts were hoping to activate wide receiver Devin Funchess off of the injured reserve list sometime soon, it appears that won’t be in the cards this season.

The Colts still have until Dec. 4 to activate Funchess, but they reportedly aren’t planning to do so as his collarbone hasn’t healed as expected. This means Funchess is done for the season and will remain on the injured reserve list, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Funchess signed a one-year deal with the Colts during the offseason in hopes he could be part of a solid 1-2 punch with T.Y. Hilton, who has been dealing with injuries of his own this season.

Funchess wound up playing just one game this season before breaking his collarbone during the Week 1 opener against the Los Angeles Chargers—a game he finished with three catches for 32 yards.

The Colts passing offense has lacked playmakers this season and the injury to Funchess has attributed to that cause.

An impending free agent, it will be interesting to see if the Colts want to give Funchess another shot. Regardless, the 25-year-old is expected to be remain on the injured reserve list for the remainder of the season.

Titans’ final injury report vs. Colts in Week 13

Titans final injury report.

The Tennessee Titans (6-5) released their final injury report on Friday ahead of the Week 13 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts (6-5) at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts also released their final injury report, which featured two players being ruled out and four players being listed as questionable. The Titans didn’t have the same type of injuries as the Colts, seeing as just one player was given an injury designation.

The only player given an injury designation was cornerback Lashaun Sims, who was ruled out on Friday due to an ankle injury.

It should be noted that running back Derrick Henry was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before practicing in full on Friday due to a hamstring injury. The fact that he practiced in full on Friday means he’s good to go against the Colts.

The Titans have won four of their last five games, which also coincides with the time they switched quarterbacks from Marcus Mariota to Ryan Tannehill.

As both teams prepare for this crucial Week 13 matchup, the Titans won’t be dealing with as many injuries.
