WATCH: Boston’s Aaron Nesmith gets and-1 while breaking the ankles of Sacramento’s Louis King

Check out the absurd play in this clip.

Boston Celtics second-year small forward Aaron Nesmith may not see the floor as much as he might like, but his high-energy play when he does get some run can create electric (if sometimes frightening) moments.

Such was the case in the Celtics home tilt with the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday evening, which saw the South Carolina native break down Kings forward Louis King while throwing up a floater that netted Nesmith an and-1 as he seemingly pulled the Oregon product with him towards the basket. Adding fuel to the fire of Boston’s blowout of their northern Californian counterparts, Nesmith looks like a nascent talent in need of some run to produce such moments more consistently.

Check out the clip embedded below to see the Vanderbilt product in action on the play in question for yourself, courtesy of team reporter Taylor Snow.

WATCH: Boston two way forward Sam Hauser gets 26 points with Maine Celtics vs. G League Knicks

Tatum wasn’t the only player on the roster on a heater from deep this weekend, with Hauser going 9-of-14 from 3-point range.

It was not just the Boston Celtics who had a player on a 3-point heater this weekend, with Jayson Tatum‘s 51-point explosion against the Wizards being mirrored nicely by two way forward Sam Hauser knocking them down at a high rate with the Maine Celtics as well.

The Virginia product put up 26 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in 34 minutes of floor time against the Westchester Knicks with Boston’s G League developmental team while shooting 10-of-18 from the field and a very solid 6-of-14 from beyond the arc. While it might not be the historic clip demonstrated by Tatum against the Wizards, it certainly suggests the former Cavalier ought to be getting more run with the parent club than he has been given their need for shooting.

Watch the clip embedded below courtesy of fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski of Hauser’s big game with the Maine Celtics.

WATCH: Boston’s Jayson Tatum hangs 51 points on the Washington Wizards

Check out the St. Louis native’s historic performance in this highlight video.

When Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jayson Tatum breaks a shooting slump, he doesn’t pull any punches. And punches he did not pull in his 51-point pummeling of the Washington Wizards in the Celtics’ 116 – 87 beatdown of the Wiz at Capital One Arena Sunday afternoon.

The St. Louis native put up the third-most points of his career on his way to shooting 18-of-28 from the floor overall, 9-of-14 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe for good measure. Tatum nabbed 10 rebounds and 7 assists in the game to round out his stat line, turning the ball over only once, and late in the game at that.

If you were among those taking the game off and need to see his historic performance for the first time yourself, or just want to bask in the glory of the Duke product’s big night, check out the highlight clip put together b the NBA embedded below.

WATCH: Soaring Alley-oop from stashed Celtics guard Yam Madar to former Golden State Warrior Alain Smailagic

The stashed Celtics floor general connected with Warrior alumnus Alain Smailagic on this sexy play for Partizan Belgrade.

While the Boston Celtics might not be doing so great right now, their stashed Israeli floor general Yam Madar has been busy honing his craft overseas in Europe with Partizan Belgrade of the ABA, where he has been playing fewer minutes as he works his way into a higher level of competition.

Averaging 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game while shooting a sizzling 51.4% from the field and 48% from beyond the arc, he’s even had some especially flashy plays with NBA-level talents. One such play is a recent alley-oop to former Golden State Warriors big man and current teammate Alain Smailagic in a 93 – 90 loss to Serbia’s Košarkaški Klub Mega Basket on Jan. 20.

Watch the video embedded below to check out the flashy play from Madar to Smailagic for a quick check-in with Boston’s No. 47 pick of the 2020 NBA draft.

WATCH: Welcome (back) to the Boston Celtics – PJ Dozier’s 2021-22 NBA highlights

Check out the best of Dozier with the Nuggets this season.

The Boston Celtics created a reunion of sorts when trading away forward Juancho Hernangomez for guard PJ Dozier (and Bol Bol) in a three-way deal sending Hernangomez to the San Antonio Spurs and Dozier and Bol from the Denver Nuggets to Boston earlier this week, with Dozier having previously played for the Celtics as a two way player in the 2018-19 NBA season.

Dozier — a second cousin to tragic Celtics legend Reggie Lewis — won’t be suiting up for Boston given he’s out for the rest of the season (and his contract) with a torn ACL, but with the Celtics holding his Bird rights, he could well take the court for Boston sometime next season.

Until then, if you want to see how he was playing with the Nuggets before he hurt himself this season, be sure to check out the highlight video embedded below that was put together by YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.

WATCH: Welcome to the Boston Celtics, Bol Bol (2021-22 NBA highlights)

Get to know Bol’s game with this highlight video.

As was the case with plenty of franchises around the league, many fans of the Boston Celtics had been clamoring for their favorite team to take a flier on Bol Bol, a 7-foot-2 big man who could also shoot the ball, in the 2019 NBA draft.

And while it was ultimately the Miami Heat who would take the Oregon product with the 44th pick of that year’s draft, he has since mostly languished on the bench of the Denver Nuggets, to whom he was traded immediately after the draft. Now, after three seasons with the Nuggets, he has been dealt to the Celtics in the three-team trade that sent him and  PJ Dozier to Boston and Juancho Hernangomez to the San Antonio Spurs earlier this week.

He has put up a career average of 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds per game while having a career average of 37.8% from deep. If you want to try to see how much potential might still be untapped in the third-year player’s game, or just want a look at how he moves on the court, check out this clip put together by fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski embedded below.

WATCH: Breaking down legendary Boston Celtics small forward John Havlicek’s defense

Get to know Hondo’s game a little more.

Many contemporary fans of the Boston Celtics know little about the game of franchise legend John Havlicek, whose career in the league and with the team ended before many fans of today were even born.

But Hondo — as Havlicek was often called — was a two way player in every sense of the term and thrived off of stealing the lunch of his opponents in particular. While he was a 13-time All-Star and 11-time All-NBAer, Havlicek also managed to get elected to 8 All-Defensive teams over the course of his long career for being a terror on the hardwood.

So, if you weren’t paying attention to such things when he was a player or you just want to get to know this Celtics legend better, watch the video embedded below put together by YouTuber 70sFan.

WATCH: Jaylen Brown breaks down his approach to transition offense with the Celtics

The Celtics star hosts a film session to show how he puts the transition game to work hanging points on an opponent in a hurry.

Ranked among the top transition scorers in the NBA in the 2020-21 season (third, in fact) in points per game, Boston Celtics All-Star wing Jaylen Brown has added yet more complexity to his game that helps his team put points on the board in a hurry.

In a new film study video produced by the team and hosted by team reporter Marc D’Amico, Brown and D’Amico break down how the Georgia native uses his athletic gifts and court vision to put transition basketball to work for the Celtics as an offensive tactic. Using a handful of plays from last season, the two dig into how Brown puts himself in a position to score in transition.

Watch the video embedded below to see for yourself how this approach is executed with the Cal-Berkeley product at the center of the attack.
