3 Teams linked to DeMar DeRozan as Bulls trade rumors continue to heat up

As trade rumors continue to surround the Chicago Bulls, three teams were linked to DeMar DeRozan.

After a horrendous start to the season, the Chicago Bulls have turned things around in recent weeks. They are 4-1 in their last five games, and their only loss was on Monday night – an overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. However, just because they’ve found some success as of late doesn’t mean they plan on keeping the team together.

Throughout the course of the season, Zach LaVine’s name has been the most common to pop up in trade rumors, as the Bulls are supposedly looking to deal the star. But he may not be the only player they decide to ship out this season.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, should the Bulls decide to trade DeRozan, his preferred trade destinations are the Miami Heat and New York Knicks.

“When it comes to possible destinations, the Heat and Knicks are known to be preferable to DeRozan if he winds up getting moved,” Amick wrote.

In addition, Jovan Buha of The Athletic revealed that should the Bulls choose to make him available on the trade market, the Los Angeles Lakers would be intrigued.

DeRozan has been having a solid season. The NBA veteran is averaging 21.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while shooting 44.2% from the field and 35.8% from behind the three-point line.

With his isolation scoring expertise, any team looking to add some offensive firepower could benefit from landing him, especially considering his deal is over at the end of the season.

As the Bulls navigate the trade deadline this year, DeRozan is certainly a name to keep an eye on.

New report lists two contenders as potential trade suitors for Chicago’s Zach LaVine

Two NBA title contenders have been pegged as potential landing spots for Bulls guard Zach LaVine.

The Chicago Bulls have picked up a bit of momentum here in early December, and have strung together a number of wins, allowing the Bulls to make a dent in the conference standings. Chicago no doubt hopes to qualify for the playoffs this year, so every bit counts, especially as the schedule will get tougher in short order.

The most notable aspect of this winning streak, however, is the absence of Zach LaVine. He is currently sidelined with foot soreness as trade rumors swirl and questions about his future in Chicago grow louder. That the Bulls have been winning with the former All-Star on the sidelines is a twist to the team’s own sense of the relationship. According to the Athletic’s Shams Charania, Chicago has been poking around the league to get a sense of LaVine’s value and check the temperature on any potential suitors. It is still early, after all, and this process may take a few more weeks.

“It’s a gradually developing trade market this year.” a source told Charania.

Bulls Insider: Chicago ‘hesitant’ to explore Caruso trades

Opting to trade Alex Caruso would be a very difficult choice for Chicago’s front office.

At the time of this writing, it’s still a little unclear what the basketball gods have in mind for the 2023-24 Chicago Bulls. Will the team be able to rally and make a push for the playoffs, or are the Bulls destined to come up short yet again this spring? In the mean time, opportunistic front offices and fans of NBA trade rumors are keeping a close eye on Chicago.

The most obvious point of conflict is with Zach LaVine. The former All-Star is currently sidelined with right foot soreness, but there appears to be mutual discontent between LaVine and the front office. A trade here might be most impactful for the Bulls, but finding a trade partner could be difficult given LaVine’s hefty contract. There are other players on Chicago’s roster who may prove much more attractive on the trade market. This may prove to be especially true of Alex Caruso.

Caruso is one of the NBA’s best defensive guards and a versatile offensive player on a much more team-friendly deal. In a recent mailbag column, NBC Sports Chicago insider K.C. Johnson responded to a question about Caruso, and whether the Bulls will look to move him at the height of his value.

Report: Bulls focused on finding trade for Zach LaVine

The Chicago Bulls are reportedly focused on finding a trade for Zach LaVine.

As the season rolls on, it’s becoming more and more clear that the Chicago Bulls need to reset the roster. They just picked up a big-time win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, but they did it without Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan in the lineup.

The Bulls are still just 6-14 on the season. So, while they still technically have a chance to make a playoff push, it seems likely that they fall flat for a second straight season. Since putting this core together, they have won just a single playoff game. And now, they’re focused on making trades.

According to KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, the Bulls are currently focused on finding a trade for LaVine.

NBA executive reveals Zach LaVine’s potential value in Bulls trade

An NBA executive recently discussed what Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine could get back in the trade market.

This season has been disastrous for the Chicago Bulls. Heading into the year, many believed they should have blown up the roster over the summer, but the Bulls were confident in their abilities. Unfortunately, as of now, it seems as though the former party was correct, as the Bulls are just 5-14 on the season, good for 13th in the Eastern Conference.

With how much they’ve struggled, some have begun speculating whether or not they could reset the roster by the trade deadline. They have plenty of players other teams would be interested in, headlined by two-time All-Star Zach LaVine, whose name has already been circulated in rumors.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, an NBA executive he spoke to believes LaVine will garner one to two firsts on the trade market.
