The second men’s major championship is just around the corner as the best players in the world will head to Rochester, N.Y., next week for the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club.

Justin Thomas is the defending champion thanks to his playoff win over Will Zalatoris last year at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

2023 PGA Championship: Odds for every player in the field at Oak Hill Country Club

Who’s your pick to win the PGA Championship?

The second men’s major championship is almost here. After Jon Rahm’s win at the Masters the best players in the world head to Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y., for the 2023 PGA Championship.

Defending champion Justin Thomas hasn’t had his best stuff so far this season with his best finish coming at the WM Phoenix Open where he grabbed a solo fourth. Overall, Thomas has two top 10s in 11 events.

No surprise here, but world No. 1 Jon Rahm is the betting favorite for Oak Hill sitting at +750 (15/2). The second- and third-ranked players in the world, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, are next on the list at +800 (8/1) and +1000 (10/1), respectively.

PGA Championship 2023: Every item at Justin Thomas’ champions dinner will be provided by the famed Rao’s

Hungry? You will be after seeing this menu.

Justin Thomas will be the defending champion next week when the golf world heads to Rochester, N.Y., for the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club. Last year, Thomas took down Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to take home the hardware. It was his second major championship victory and second Wanamaker trophy.

Thomas was a guest on Smylie Kaufman’s podcast “The Smylie Show” this week and explained the plans for his champions dinner.

“Rao’s is doing my champions dinner, and I am so pumped,” Thomas said. “This is all stuff straight off their menu so it’s gonna be legit.”

Among the offerings, according to JT, are seafood salad, baked clams, chicken parm, penne alla vodka, and more.

Here’s Thomas presenting the entire menu.

Here are the 18 LIV golfers teeing it up at the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill

Three of the 18 LIV golfers in the PGA Championship field have hoisted a Wanamaker.

The field for the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, was announced Wednesday.

There were 155 players announced Wednesday, with one more spot up for grabs. And in that field are 18 golfers who play for the LIV Golf League, which this week is in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at Cedar Ridge Country Club for LIV Golf Tulsa, its sixth event of the season.

A reminder, they finished T-2 at the Masters last month.

One LIV golfer not on the list: Sergio Garcia.

Top 10 betting favorites for the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club

Two-time Wanamaker winner Brooks Koepka is at 20/1.

The second men’s major championship of the year is on the horizon, as the best players in the world have the sights set on Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York.

Defending champion Justin Thomas took down Will Zalatoris in a playoff last season to claim his second Wanamaker trophy at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thomas is among the top-10 betting favorites for the 2023 edition; Zalatoris is out after having back surgery.

Unsurprisingly, Jon Rahm heads the list of favorites.

The Spaniard took home the green jacket at the year’s first major, the Masters, and has won a total of four events on Tour in 2023. Rahm’s best finish at the PGA Championship was a T-4 in 2018.

Collin Morikawa Q&A: On Tiger welcoming him to the ‘major club,’ his unfamiliarity with Oak Hill, and life with his wife Katherine

“Tiger came up to me and said ‘Welcome to the Major Club,’ and I got chills just from hearing that.”

[lawrence-newsletter]While he’s yet to win this season, Collin Morikawa has been mighty close on numerous occasions, posting five top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Can he get back into the winner’s circle this year? And if so, will he do it at a major?

It’s not like Morikawa hasn’t done this before — he’s taken home a pair of major championships in his five PGA Tour victories. The California native captured the 2020 PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park and then raised the Claret Jug after winning the 2021 Open Championship at Royal St. George’s Golf Club.

In advance of this year’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill in Rochester, Morikawa, who became a Rolex ambassador this year, answered a number of questions through his partnership with Rolex, including those about life with wife Katherine, and his lack of knowledge about the next major venue.
