Cassius Winston’s NBA journey will officially continue this season, as it was reported on Saturday by Fred Katz that the former Spartan has re-signed with the Washington Wizards on a two-way deal that will allow him to spend time with their G-League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go.

Winston was put in a tough situation last year as the G-League only had a shortened season within a bubble environment. Winston instead spent most of the season with the Wizards, where he was only given 4.5 minutes per game in 22 games played. He did shoot 47.1-percent from three on a low volume but that expert shooting along with his smart play will extend his stay with the Wizards.

The ability to go down to the G-League more freely this year should suit Winston well, and he will be able to show what he is able to when given the keys to an offense instead of playing in a limited, reserve role.
