Mize is the eighth-ranked overall prospect in all of MLB and the Tigers No. 2 prospect behind newly-drafted Spencer Torkelson. Last year at two different levels, the right-hander went 8-3 with a 2.55 ERA over 109 1/3 innings.
In his debut at Double-A Erie, Mize went the distance in a complete-game no-hitter against Altoona.
