Casey Clausen returns to Neyland Stadium

Former Tennessee quarterback Casey Clausen returned to Neyland Stadium for the Vols’ win versus Austin Peay.

Former Tennessee quarterback Casey Clausen returned to Neyland Stadium on Saturday during the Vols’ 30-13 win versus Austin Peay.

Clausen played for the Vols from 2000-03, appearing in 47 games. He completed 808-of-1,329 passing attempts for 10,220 yards and 79 touchdowns. The former Vol also scored eight rushing touchdowns.

Clausen won 34 games as Tennessee’s starting quarterback, including 44 starts, and was 14-1 in road contests.

He took over as Tennessee’s starting quarterback during his freshman season in 2000, leading the Vols to a 20-10 win over Alabama at Neyland Stadium.

Clausen is serving as head coach at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California.
