Carson Wentz addressed the media on Monday for the first time since the free agency and the NFL Draft concluded.
The Eagles star was busy with the birth of his newborn daughter but firmly entrenched to the chaos surrounding him after the Eagles selected Jalen Hurts in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
When asked about having Hurts as a teammate, Wentz said he was “excited” to play with the former Oklahoma star while also looking forward to the competition.
When asked about possibly sharing the field and snaps with Hurts, Wentz referenced his quest for another Super Bowl.

The Eagles also added a ton of speed during the NFL draft, trading for Marquise Goodwin and drafting Jalen Reagor, John Hightower, and Quez Watkins.
Wentz was beyond excited for the additions, calling them explosive and a diverse group of weapons.
Wentz on his weapons for next season : "We have a lot of diversity now. Size differences, speed, obviously we've had a ton of success with TE's. DeSean will be back. Now we just have to find ways to get them the ball.

Wentz went on to say that the Hurts selection didn’t concern him at all, adding that he trusts Howie Roseman and the Eagles, referring back to his contract extension as proof that things are heading in the right direction.
