The Carolina Panthers are in desperate need of a franchise quarterback after major inconsistencies at the position in 2022. The Panthers gave up four draft picks and star WR D.J. Moore to earn the rights to the top selection from the Chicago Bears in the 2023 NFL draft and are reportedly choosing between the Alabama Crimson Tide’s [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag] and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud.
Colin Cowherd spoke of the two saying it is a difficult decision because both quarterbacks are winners and are both adults in the room. Cowherd believes that Young is a more polished version of Stroud, but the height concerns for Young are real. He goes on to say that teams have done their homework on Young, they know he’s a little more talented, but the height won’t change.
He suggests that teams are doing more research on Stroud to see how close he is to Bryce Young because they love his frame, but want to know what they will consistently get from him.
Cowherd also makes the point that of the last 10 Super Bowl winners, only one has been under six feet and that was Russell Wilson who had an all-time defense. So at 5-foot-10, Bryce Young certainly doesn’t fit the mold of the modern-day NFL quarterback. However, Crimson Tide fans know that you should never count Young out.
"Everybody knows what Bryce Young is. The question is, what is C.J Stroud?"
