Carmen’s Crew to return for The Basketball Tournament in 2021

The Ohi State basketball alumni team known as Carmen’s Crew will be returning to play in The Basketball Tournament for 2021.

For those of you who love to follow some former Ohio State basketball players during the downtime of summer, it looks like you’ll have something to follow. That’s because everyone’s favorite OSU alumni basketball team, Carmen’s Crew, will return to take part in The Basketball Tournament again in 2021. This, according to a Tweet TBT shared on Tuesday after talking with Jared Sullinger.

The team used to be known as Scarlet and Gray before a trademark issue got in the way, so it changed its name to Carmen’s Crew for the last couple of runs at monetary glory. This will be the fifth time the team has taken part in the winner-take-all single-elimination tourney, having won the whole thing in 2019.

There’s no information available on what players will be on this year’s team, but staples of the crew have been John Diebler, William Buford, Aaron Craft, David Lighty, and several others that seem to rotate in and out.

As more information on the makeup of the team becomes available, and as dates are finalized, we’ll have more information for you.
