Cardinals’ uniforms aren’t that bad, per these power rankings

In uniform power rankings by Touchdown Wire, the Cardinals’ unis come in at No. 17.

Arizona Cardinals have been clamoring for new uniforms. They have had the same threads since 2005, with additions to the mix in their black alternate jersey and their black Color Rush version. According to one set of recent uniform rankings, the Cardinals came in dead last.

That is not apparently a consensus opinion.

Touchdown Wire’s Mark Lane ranked all 32 teams’ uniforms with the update the Cincinnati Bengals got.

Arizona’s unis aren’t anywhere near the bottom. They are right in the middle at No. 17.

The Cardinals had bland red and white jerseys with an annoyed cardinal on a white helmet. If an empty billboard were a team, it would be the Cardinals until 2005 when they introduced their modern uniforms. Arizona can go full one color with them, or provide different uniform schemes. Many teams dabble with black jerseys as a variant, but the Cardinals are the only team that appears to pull it off right.

Having middle-of-the-road uniforms is not too bad. Of course, an update would be fun. New uniforms always are.

But based on some of the new uniforms that have come out, things could also be worse than how they are now.
