Cardinals’ Super Bowl odds improve with free agency

In the latest Super Bowl odds, the Arizona Cardinals have gone from being listed at 40/1 to 25/1, with only nine teams with shorter odds.

The Arizona Cardinals began the 2021 offseason in the middle of the pack in terms of odds for winning next year’s Super Bowl. Back in January, they had 40/1 odds. 13 teams had longer odds than they did.

Now that teams have changed with free agency and the Cardinals have added players like receiver A.J. Green, defensive end J.J. Watt and cornerback Malcolm Butler, their odds have improved.

According to BetMGM as of when this article was published, Arizona’s odds were 25/1 or +2500.

It doesn’t quite put them among the favorites, but rather in the next tier of teams. Only nine teams have shorter odds than the Cardinals.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites at +500 and followed by the defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers at +800.

The Cardinals’ have the third-longest odds of the NFC West. The Los Angeles Rams are +1000, the San Francisco 49ers are +1400, the Cardinals are next at +2500, while the Seattle Seahawks are the longest shot in the division to win it all at +3000.

At +2500, the Cardinals are given an implied 3.85% chance of winning the Super Bowl. But even the Chiefs, who are the favorites, only have an implied 16.67% of winning it all.

Expectations are clearing beginning to amp up for the Cardinals.
