They poach safety Qwuantrezz Knight from San Francisco’s practice squad.

The Arizona Cardinals lost five-time Pro Bowl safety Budda Baker for at least the next four games when he was placed on injured reserve. The Cardinals signed his replacement on the roster with a player from the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.

They announced the signing of safety Qwuantrezz Knight to the active roster.

He is listed at six feet and 190 lbs and is 25 years old.

He was an undrafted rookie out of UCLA last year and spent last season on the 49ers’ practice squad.

While at UCLA, Knight started 19 games in two seasons and had 106 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, nine pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He played previously at Maryland and Kent State.

By signing him off another team’s practice squad, they have committed to keeping him at least three weeks.
