Cardinals release OL Wyatt Davis

Davis played one snap in the last six games after the Cardinals claimed him off waivers.

The Arizona Cardinals announced a roster move Tuesday, clearing a spot for a potential signing. They released offensive lineman Wyatt Davis.

Davis was acquired via a waiver claim on November 9. He appeared in the Cardinals’ 27-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams that weekend in Week 10, playing one snap, and he has not played again.

In five games since then, he has been inactive three times and twice did not appear in the game while dressed and active.

Davis was drafted in the third round in 2021 by the Minnesota Vikings out of Ohio State.

We will see if the Cardinals will bring him back to the practice squad if he clears waivers or if they have evaluated him enough to know he doesn’t have a place on the team.
