Cardinals not looking to trade Hollywood Brown, who appears to be part of team’s future

Dianna Russini reports that Brown appears to be part of the Cardinals’ future.

The NFL trade deadline is coming up at the end of the month. While the Arizona Cardinals don’t exactly have a ton of players who would come up in trade speculation, one player stands out — receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Brown will be a free agent after the season and is probably the Cardinals’ most valuable trading chip.

However, don’t expect a move.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Cardinals have taken calls about Brown but have no intentions of moving him.

They are not lacking in draft picks in 2024 with six in the first three rounds.

The most interesting part of the report is what follows — “Brown is both healthy and productive right now and looks to be part of this team’s future.”

Brown does not have big numbers, having caught 29 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns, but quarterback Josh Dobbs has missed him many times when he was open behind opposing defenses.

If his production continues, he will be a player the Cardinals will try to extend or re-sign before free agency begins in 2024.
