Cardinals not at bottom of new post-draft power rankings

The Cardinals are all the way up to No. 25 after not trading DeAndre Hopkins and completing the draft.

Most of the offseason so far, the Arizona Cardinals have been viewed as either the worst or nearly the worst team in the NFL. However, in new post-draft power rankings by Touchdown Wire’s Mark Lane, they aren’t at the bottom. They are not even in the bottom five.

They come in at No. 25.

Arizona is here because of how far they fell at the end of the year. Kyler Murray returning completely healthy should bolster their chances, and adding Paris Johnson helps. The real intrigue surrounding Arizona is what they will do with their twin first-rounders in next year’s draft.

They did improve the offensive line with Johnson and added plus athletes at other positions, but it isn’t as if the roster vastly improved.

The only pick we can expect in the starting lineup is Johnson.

They didn’t trade receiver DeAndre Hopkins or safety Budda Baker.

Perhaps the draft class and the added picks in 2024 just make things more optimistic,

That works for me.
