Cardinals had private predraft meeting with Texas A&M WR Quartney Davis

Christian Kirk’s replacement had 99 catches for 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns in two seasons for the Aggies.

Before facilities shut down around the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals did hold a private visit of a wide receiver prospect they could select in the NFL draft next month.

According to Draft Wire’s Justin Melo, they recently had a private meeting with Texas A&M receiver Quartney Davis. There was a minor workout and some board walk.

He also met with several other teams before things were shut down.

Davis is 6-1 and 201 pounds. He was Christian Kirk’s replacement for the Aggies after the Cardinals drafted him. In two seasons, he had 99 receptions for 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He ran the 40 in 4.54 seconds at the NFL combine and showed off a 35.5-inch vertical leap.

He is expected to be selected on Day 3 of the draft. He projects as a slot receiver.
