Cardinals GM Steve Keim, HC Kliff Kingsbury get contract extensions through 2027

Both were entering 2022 on the final year of their contracts.

The Arizona Cardinals entered the offseason with instability. General manager Steve Keim, head coach Kliff Kingsbury and quarterback Kyler Murray all entered the final year of their contracts and, while the team made the postseason for the first time in six seasons, the end of year was disastrous.

For the second season in a row, the team collapsed down the stretch.

It looked like both Keim and Kingsbury would enter 2022 as lame ducks, working without any assurance for 2023.

That changed on Wednesday.

The Cardinals announced Wednesday that both Keim and Kingsbury agreed to contract extensions, keeping them under contract through 2027.
