Cardinals CB Antonio Hamilton salary, contract details, cap hit

CB Antonio Hamilton was re-signed to a one-year deal. $500,000 of his salary is guaranteed and the Cardinals get cap relief from the deal.

One of the more recent moves the Arizona Cardinals made was re-sign cornerback Antonio Hamilton to a one-year contract. Hamilton has been in the league since 2016 and joined the Cardinals last year.

He was signed to Arizona’s practice squad and then later signed to the active roster. He played 208 special teams snaps and, because of injuries, ended up getting playing time on defense.

He appeared in all 17 games last season and even started twice. He played 312 defensive snaps and finished the season with 38 tackles and four pass breakups. He was tied for second on the team with nine special teams tackles.

Over the Cap has his contract details. We go over the numbers below.

Antonio Hamilton contract details

Hamilton’s one-year deal is for a total of almost $1.19 million.

His 2022 salary will be the league minimum of $1.035 million, but the Cardinals have fully guaranteed $500,000 of that, making it likely he will make the final roster.

He receives a signing bonus of $152,500.

Salary cap implications

Hamilton’s contract is worth almost $1.19 million total. His contract qualifies for the veteran benefit for cap purposes. His cap hit will be a little less than $1.04 million. The Cardinals get cap relief of $140,000 as a result.
