There were 44 tryouts and three visits reported by NFL teams Tuesday, the day with normally the most tryouts, and the Arizona Cardinals had four with two running backs (Zonovan Knight and Isaiah Spiller) and two tight ends (Teagan Quitoriano and Joel Wilson).
Here are the backgrounds on all four players.
RB Zonovan Knight
Knight (5-11, 209) attended North Carolina State and was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2022. In his high-school career at Southern Nash in Bailey, N.C., he rushed for 5,073 yards with 71 touchdowns.
In 2022, he was signed to the practice squad after being waived in the cutdown to 53 players and was signed to the active roster on Oct. 25. He played seven games with four starts and rushed for 300 yards on 85 carries with one touchdown.
In 2023, he was cut by the Jets in the reduction to 53, was signed by the Detroit Lions for their practice squad and then signed to the roster on Sept. 20. After playing two games, he was placed on injured reserve with a torn labrum on Oct. 14, where he remained for the rest of the season. This year, he was waived on Aug. 27.
RB Isaiah Spiller
Spiller (6-1, 215) attended Texas A&M and was a fourth-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022 and played 15 games in two seasons, totaling 137 yards on 55 carries. This year, he was waived on Aug. 27, signed to the Chargers practice squad on Aug. 28 and then released Sept. 2. In three seasons at Texas A&M, he rushed for 946 yards, 1,036 and 1,011.
TE Teagan Quitoriano
Quitoriano (6-6, 259) attended Oregon State and was a fifth-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2022. He began that season on injured reserve because of a knee injury and was activated Nov. 3 after which he played nine games with six starts and caught seven passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Last season, he played seven games with five starts before being placed on injured reserve on Oct. 31 (groin/oblique) for the remainder of the season. He had only two receptions for 33 yards in those seven games.
This season, he was waived/injured (calf) on Aug. 27, reverted to injured reserve the next day and was waived with an injury settlement Sept. 4.
TE Joel Wilson
Wilson (6-4, 242) attended Central Michigan and was an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills in 2023. He was waived on Aug. 29 and signed to the Bills practice squad the next day. He was released on Nov. 7 and was signed to the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 28 for the remainder of the season. After signing a futures contract this year with the Packers on Jan. 22, he was waived on Aug. 27.
