Cardinals bring back rookie DL Jacob Slade to practice squad

With another injury on the defensive line, the Cardinals bring back one of heir undrafted rookies to the practice squad.

The Arizona Cardinals have depth issues on the defensive line and, as a result, have added one to the practice squad.

The team announced Tuesday that receiver Daniel Arias was released from the practice squad and that defensive lineman Jacob Slade was added.

Slade was signed as an undrafted rookie by Arizona out of Michigan State this offseason and spent the whole offseason and preseason with the team. He was part of the team’s final cuts and was not initially w

L.J. Collier was placed on injured reserve. Leki Fotu has a shoulder injury that kept him out of Sunday’s game. Carlos Watkins suffered a biceps injury on Sunday.

Last week, the Cardinals elevated Eric Banks from the practice squad to play on Sunday.

Slade will give them another body to have for practice at least.
