Cardinals are league’s only unbeaten team entering Week 5

The previously unbeaten Rams, Panthers, Broncos and Raiders all lost in Week 4.

Entering Week 4 of the NFL season, there were five. Entering Week 5, there is only one — the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals are the only unbeaten team in the NFL at 4-0. The Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers all entered the week 3-0 but all suffered losses.

The Cardinals beat the unbeaten Rams 37-20 and now are atop the NFL.

When power rankings come out Tuesday morning, it won’t be a surprise to see them atop some of them.

At 4-0 and having defeated one of the favorites in the NFC, the Cardinals should now be viewed as real contenders.

They have one of the top offenses in the league. They have a quarterback playing better than almost all others.

The last time the Cardinals were 4-0, it was 2012. This is nothing like that season, when they fell apart and lost 11 of their final 12 games.

This feels more like the 2015 team that, when playing at that level, felt unbeatable.

The Cardinals will certainly lose at some point this season, but for now they are at the top of the NFL world.

Enjoy it, fans. This is what it feels like to have a good team again.
