Cardinals announce final cuts to get roster to 53 players

They Do not keep any undrafted rookies on the roster this year.

The Arizona Cardinals have made the moves to get their roster down to 53 players. They announced the outright release of 15 players and one who was designated with an injury.

Their final cuts were the following players:

  • S Kentrell Brice
  • DL Jonathan Bullard
  • TE Dylan Cantrell
  • DL Trevon Coley
  • CB Ken Crawley
  • RB D.J. Foster
  • CB Chris Jones
  • OL Koda Martin
  • WR Andre Patton
  • WR A.J. Richardson
  • OLB Reggie Walker
  • WR JoJo Ward
  • RB Jonathan Ward
  • ILB Evan Weaver
  • CB Jace Whittaker

They also waived/injured WR Johnnie Dixon. If he clears waivers, he will revert to injured reserve.

Unlike other years, not a single undrafted rookie made the team and they even cut Weaver, their sixth-round pick.

The Cardinals can now enter waiver claims on players released throughout the league. If they are awarded anyone, they will have to make more cuts, so the work is not done.

They will be able to begin to sign players to their practice squad, which is 16 players with up to six with unlimited service time, Sunday afternoon.
