The Arizona Cardinals get a key defensive lineman back, but it is a little late. The team announced it activated defensive tackle Corey Peters from the COVID list. To make room for him, they released offensive lineman Zack Johnson, whom they signed from the practice squad on Thursday.
Peters probably was not in condition to be able to play and contribute Thursday, but his presence will help mitigate the loss of J.J. Watt, who suffered multiple injuries to his shoulder.
He has a very good run defender and will help shore up their troubles in that area on defense.
