Can the Buffalo Bills win a Super Bowl within the next five years?

Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report recently said that he can see the Buffalo Bills winning the Super Bowl within the next five seasons.

Ever since Josh Allen became the starting quarterback during the 2018 season, the Buffalo Bills have been one of the better teams in the NFL. With the team in the midst of training camp, it may be a good time to examine whether the Bills have a reasonable chance of winning the Super Bowl within the next five seasons.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report, it was stated that one of the scenarios that are essentially not a big topic of discussion right now is the Bills winning a league championship within the next half-decade. B/R believes that given Buffalo’s recent track record, having won the AFC East in three of the past four seasons along with getting to the AFC Championship Game in 2020, they are bound to win a Super Bowl at some point.

The Bills have a good chance of getting to the AFC Championship Game again, but they will have to be better than they have been if they want to beat the Kansas City Chiefs or the Cincinnati Bengals to get to the Super Bowl. Buffalo will have to hope that the drama with wide receiver Stefon Diggs is truly in the past and that linebacker Von Miller can recover from his knee injury well enough to be like his own self.

Here’s what B/R had to say about why he can see Buffalo winning the league title in the near future:

“The Buffalo Bills are famous lovable losers. And because that has yet to change in January even with a star-studded roster headlined by standout franchise quarterback Josh Allen, that familiar perennial question continues to be asked about the team’s prospects of winning its first-ever Super Bowl.

My gut tells me that it’s only a matter of time before Allen and the Bills break through, and that by 2028 we’ll be talking about this core’s ability to win multiple Vince Lombardi Trophies and go toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs when it comes to dynasty status.

Maybe I’m being too optimistic about a franchise that often seems snake-bitten, but Allen really has everything you want in a championship-caliber leader and he’s surrounded by considerable talent.

Besides, the law of averages has to favor Buffalo one of these days. The team and its city are due.”
