Camping World Bowl: 5 Keys to a Notre Dame Victory

If given the opportunity Notre Dame has to step on throats and not let up because the second they do the Cyclones will, get this, come storming back.

Quick – someone tell me who on Iowa State can handle the likes of Chase Claypool, Cole Kmet or Braden Lenzy if they’re in a one-on-one situation.

I’m waiting.

Still waiting.

You don’t have an answer because that person doesn’t exist, even if Iowa State does play their funky 3-3-5 defense.  Notre Dame schemed to get such situations for Claypool against Michigan but an antsy Ian Book was unable to make the proper reads a few times in that game and then failed to make throws when he did make such reads.

Nobody can cover Claypool, Kmet or Lenzy one-on-one.  Whatever you have to do in order to create such opportunities go ahead and do that, exploit it and then exploit it again, preferably all afternoon.
