The Minnesota Vikings are playing well on Sunday against the Chicago Bears despite a rash of bad luck early in the game. Running back Aaron Jones had a fumble deep in Bears territory early. Officials missed a late hit out-of-bounds penalty that would have benefitted the Vikings and called a questionable holding penalty that hurt them.

Worse, the Vikings have had to endure a couple of important players going down with injury concerns. After the fumble, Vikings’ linebacker Ivan Pace was injured and is questionable to return with a hamstring injury. Shortly after the Pace injury, the Vikings lost another key contributor to the team, this time on the offensive side.

Cam Robinson injury update

After losing Pace, the Vikings offense suffered a blow of their own, as left tackle Cam Robinson went down in the first quarter. It was unclear at the time exactly what the injury was, though the training staff appeared to be looking at the left tackle’s leg. Vikings beat reporter for The Athletic Alec Lewis reports that Robinson has been ruled out for the second half of the game against the Bears.

How long will Robinson be out?

Robinson was checked out on the sidelines after the injury and then taken back to the locker room for further examination, which isn’t a great sign. However, the fact that it’s being designated as a foot injury and not a knee should be seen as a positive sign.

Vikings Wire will provide any updates on Robinson’s long-term status as they become available.

Vikings offensive line depth chart

With Robinson out, the Vikings have turned to swing tackle David Quessenberry to fill in at left tackle. Quessenberry has been with the Vikings for the past two seasons, and filled in for previous left tackle Christian Darrisaw when he suffered his knee injury a month ago.
