Former North Carolina Tar Heels wing Cam Johnson is hoping to cash in on free agency this offseason and it sounds like it will be a busy time for him.
On Thursday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Johnson has committed to play for Team USA’s FIBA World Cup team this summer in the Philippines. Johnson is the latest player to commit to the team, joining his Brooklyn Nets teammate Mikal Bridges on the 12-player roster.
So far, the following players have committed to play for the team: Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, Brandon Ingram, Jaren Jackson Jr., Austin Reaves, Cam Johnson, Walker Kessler, and Bobby Portis.

Johnson is coming off a 2022-23 season in which he turned down a contract extension and then was traded to Brooklyn as part of the Kevin Durant deal.
The forward averaged 15.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game last season, splitting time between Phoenix and Brooklyn.
He’s looking to cash in on a big contract and should have plenty of suitors this offseason. And a few teams are already rumored to show interest.
