Calvin Ridley and Trevor Lawrence building chemistry in Jacksonville

Trevor Lawrence believes that Calvin Ridley will be a massive part of the Jaguars 2023 offense

After serving a one-year suspension for gambling in 2022, [autotag]Calvin Ridley[/autotag] was officially reinstated to the NFL on March 6, 2023. Except, Ridley will now be going to the Jacksonville Jaguars facilities rather than the Atlanta Falcons, where he was once a first-round draft pick.

Ridley was sensational during his time in Atlanta earning second-team All-Pro honors in 2020. Unfortunately, the Falcons franchise was headed for a rebuild and they sent him off to Jacksonville in exchange for draft compensation to start from the ground up. The trade happened in the midst of the suspension so we haven’t seen the former Alabama stand out in the black and teal yet.

In hindsight, the trade may have been one of the best things for Ridley as he will now be teaming up with one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the league, Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence and Ridley have reportedly met a couple of times this offseason to get some routes under their belt and to start building that connection. Ridley believes he returns to the game in the best shape of his life after essentially being out the past two years. As for Lawrence, he finally gets a solid WR1 target that is capable of putting up 1,400 yards in a season.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Calvin Ridley and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
