The BC Lions went on the road to face a Toronto Argonauts team which was believed to be in disarray. But it was the Lions who lost a messy 35-27 decision Sunday. Now, they come back on short rest. BC outgained Toronto at a 423-to-374 clip in total yards, but the Lions turned it over 5 times to just once for the Argonauts. BC never got into the red zone, either, while going 0-for-3 in 3rd-down efficiency.

These teams met 3 times in the regular season, and once in the playoffs. BC won 2 of 3 meetings in the regular season, with the Lions going 2-1 against the spread (ATS). BC also won 41-30 as a 7-point favorite in the first round of the playoffs as the Over (50) cashed.

Moneyline

The Lions (-400) return for their team opener, and you cannot risk 4 times your potential return. The Lions were super sloppy in a loss against a shaky Toronto team last weekend.

On the flip side, the Stampeders (+310) got the job done in Week 1. While it’s tempting to play Calgary straight up to multiply up by more than 3 times, this is a team which won just once in 4 tries against BC.

PASS.

Against the spread

The STAMPEDERS +8.5 (-115) are a strong play catching the points.

While it’s hard to believe the Lions won’t clean things up after turning it over 5 times in Week 1, it’s also hard to forget about that stat. BC was sloppy in a game it should have been able to win. Now, the Lions return on a short week after playing Sunday. So, have they had enough time to get it all right?

Over/Under

OVER 50.5 (-110) is a solid play in this Week 2 battle between West Division rivals.

The Over cashed in the final 2 meetings last season, and the winning team scored 37 or more points in each of the past 3 battles. The Over is also 6-3-1 in the past 10 meetings in this series.
