What a day for Michigan basketball.
The Wolverines were holding out hope Hunter Dickinson would return to them, but he decided to take his talents to Kansas. The maize and blue have officially lost their top three scorers from last season — not great.
But at least Juwan Howard went out and obtained some solid transfers for the upcoming season — especially former North Carolina guard Caleb Love. Love was one of the top transfers, and he committed to Michigan in early April.
Would Love stay at Michigan though?
Once Dickinson took to Twitter to announce his commitment to Bill Self and Kansas, rumors started to swirl surrounding Love’s status with Michigan. A Twitter user, Trilly Donovan, quote tweeted asking if Caleb Love would even play for Michigan at all next season.
Will Caleb Love play for Michigan at all next year? Stay tuned! https://t.co/7u8vtVbMi2

But Love took to Twitter himself to clear the air and told everyone he would be playing for the Wolverines next season. That’s a relief to Michigan fans. What a horrible Thursday it would’ve been to not only officially lose Dickinson, but lose the top-ranked transfer as well.
Yes, I will play for Michigan next year! Stay tuned! Go Blue💙💛 https://t.co/wB4Wmz1wAH

Love will be counted on heavily next season to score. He averaged over 16 points per game last season with the Tar Heels and he should share a backcourt with Dug McDaniel.
