Caleb Fauria healthy going into 2022 season

Caleb Fauria is finally healthy going into his third season in Boulder

The Colorado Buffaloes will kick off the 2022 football season against the TCU Horned Frogs on Friday.

The quarterback room is still a bit cloudy, and TCU is also going to trot out at least a couple of different quarterbacks in the opener.

Colorado’s new-look offense, under new coordinator Mike Sanford, has some work to do to right the ship. The wide receiver room has a few accomplished weapons, but the tight end position (apart from Brady Russell) has yet to prove itself.

Caleb Fauria is the No. 2 TE and he’s finally healthy going into the season after a couple of injury-plagued seasons (h/t Brian Howell of BuffZone).

“I’ve been banged up since I got here in 2020. I played a little last year but I got hurt with my shoulder so I missed spring. But now I’m finally back and ready to go… I’m pumped. I haven’t played a full season since junior year of high school. I’m just really excited to get out there with the boys.”

There is a lot of youth on this Buffs team, meaning there will be lots of opportunities for these pass-catchers to make a role for themselves in the offense. Fauria has a ton of talent and was sensational in high school, and Colorado has been waiting a long time to see him fully healthy and ready to showcase his skills.

Maybe this will be the year.
